STANFORD, CT – Before I reveal the finalized matches for Starrcade on behalf of BWM Inc., I want to congratulate Seventh Era Productions’ Elizabeth Hulette, Murrey Entertainment’s Jeff Murrey, and Cash Mouse Entertainment’s Catherine Mouse, Ted Brown, and Ted Dibiase Sr. on a successful start to the 7th Era of this industry that we all love. Each company gained valuable ground, bid farewell to a few key players, and looked to the Available Talent list to build towards the future.
BWM Inc. made no secret about our strategy heading into Charleston just 24 hours ago, and I’m proud to say we accomplished what we set out to do. We aimed to put a fresh spin on All Elite Wrestling while preserving the company’s identity, and I believe we succeeded. Additionally, I want to congratulate my husband, Sami Zayn, for bringing the WOW Draft to television for the first time. Sami and I arrived in Charleston early and were honored to oversee the creation of the beautiful set and stage for the evening’s festivities. We will also play a significant role in designing the set for Starrcade later this week, and we are eager to collaborate with other industry leaders for a more unified effort.
I wish I could say it was all good, but I’d be lying if I said the evening went off without a few hiccups. Sami and I were insulted by Jeff Murrey leaving early and by Ted Dibiase’s actions that led to his early departure as well. We believe that when you make a commitment, it is your obligation to see it through to the end. Mr. Murrey and Mr. Dibiase obviously felt differently. While I could demand sanctions from the World of Wrestling Organization, I will not do so as a gesture of goodwill towards my competition. AEW is the industry standard, and it’s our responsibility to set the tone for the upcoming era of professional wrestling. We take this role seriously, and we hope that in the future, Mr. Murrey and Mr. Dibiase will honor their commitments to the end.
