AEW Dynamite #036 [S03E10] (10.07.24)

Live from Cadence Bank Arena | Tupelo, MS | Crowd Size: 10,302

SEGMENT ONE

As the opening video package concludes and the pyro explodes, Kevin Kelly and Arn Anderson welcome us back to AEW Dynamite, live from Tupelo, Mississippi. Anderson says we were off last week, but are back this week for a two-part episode of Dynamite! Kelly says we’ll return to our regular schedule of programming next week, with Chaos returning on the 18th.

Commentary is quickly cut off as the audience erupts in boos at the familiar sounds of ‘This Year’s Girl,’ as BWM Inc. Chairwoman Megan Mouse-Zayn appears atop the stage. She sneers at the fans as boos rain down, their displeasure only boosting her ego as she walks the aisle. She grabs a microphone, standing tall in the center of the ring as the crowd jeers louder.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [smirking, waiting for silence] Oh, don’t worry. I can wait all night.

The boos grow deafening, and Megan taps her watch mockingly, showing her complete disregard for the fans. She glances around the arena with an annoyed expression as they slowly begin to quiet down.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [snarky] That’s better. Now, the sooner you all shut up and listen, the sooner we can get through what I’ve got to say, and you can get on with the rest of the show. I know, it’s a real struggle for you Mississippi mouth breathers.

The crowd erupts again, but Megan just rolls her eyes and smirks, letting the noise fuel her arrogance. Eventually, the crowd simmers down again.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: Finally, now you’re getting it… Now, I’ve got a few housekeeping items to tend to, so let’s get right into it, shall we?

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [proudly] First things first: In just 21 days, at Dynamite 40: Sympathy for the Devil, my husband—your AEW World Heavyweight Champion and Chairman of BWM Inc—Sami Zayn will finally put an end to Danhausen and his ridiculous curse!

The crowd boos at the mention of Zayn, but pops for Danhausen.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [raising her voice over the crowd] And because I know you all want to see it, and because Sami deserves the chance to destroy that freak without any limitations… the match will be No Holds Barred and Falls Count Anywhere!

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [with a smirk] But that’s not all! The triple threat match between Hangman Adam Page, Bryan Danielson, and Kenny Omega? Oh, it’s official. And the stakes couldn’t be higher. The winner gets to choose between two very tempting prizes: either an immediate AEW World Heavyweight Title shot—

She pauses, letting the fans take in the gravity of the statement.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: —or the coveted 60th spot in the upcoming Elite Warfare match! Tonight, Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega will square off, and the winner will square off against Bryan Danielson tomorrow on our special Tuesday Dynamite. The winner of that match will determine if any additional stipulations will be added!

Megan Mouse-Zayn: And, against my better judgment, the harlot—oh, excuse me—Liv Morgan will get her promised Knockouts Championship match against Miss Athena Star.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: And last, but certainly not least, The Acclaimed and A-Town Down Under will finally settle the score as they compete in AEW’s first-ever Dumpster Match!

Before the audience can react, the arena plunges into darkness without warning. A crackling sound fills the silence, as pyro suddenly bursts from all four ring posts, illuminating Megan in violent flashes of red.

The tron flickers to life, first with an ominous unsettling static. A faint whisper begins to fill the arena, as the static turns to black, and Danhausen’s painted face, half hidden by darkness, fills the screen.

Danhausen: [speaking slowly, barely a whisper] Megan… you stand there, draped in a power you never earned. You sold out your own father, betrayed his legacy for your climb, clawing atop a throne built on lies.

He pauses, his head tilting ever so slightly, as though listening to something only he can hear.

Danhausen: [unnerving, calm] You think this curse is for him, for your husband… but curses do not choose… they consume. They spread, Megan… like rot in the bones. And when they find you… when they sink into your soul… no amount of power will save you.

Megan’s eyes widen, her confidence draining as Danhausen’s words take hold. She scans the arena, searching for any escape from the dread that surrounds her.

Danhausen: [slow, deliberate] The sins of the flesh are always paid in blood. The time of reckoning draws near… and there will be no escape!

The screen goes black, leaving the arena in absolute silence. For a brief moment, nothing happens. Then, without warning, a loud, grotesque squelch fills the air, and blood begins to rain from the ceiling, pouring down in a thick, sickening torrent.

Still frozen in the ring, Megan gasps as the blood drenches her, cascading down her face and soaking her clothes. Her eyes are wide with shock as the grotesque scene unfolds, the crowd erupts into shocked gasps and screams as Megan stands paralyzed under the relentless downpour.

Megan screams, but her shrieks are almost completely drowned out by the sickening sounds of the blood splattering the match. The once pristine ring is now a blood-soaked mess, as Megan stumbles, slipping as she desperately tries to escape the flood.

As it finally stops, Megan stands soaked in crimson, her face a mix of red, rage, and terror. She wipes at her face frantically, but it’s no use. The blood continues to drip from her hair, her clothes, and her skin.

The tron flickers to life one last time. This time, there is no Danhausen—only his voice.

Danhausen: [voice almost a growl] Blood for blood, Megan…

The arena lights fully return as the tron shuts off, and Megan stands in the ring seething, her once-commanding presence completely shattered. She stumbles out of the ring as the camera cuts to the commentary table, where Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly are sitting in complete disbelief.

Arn Anderson: [grimly] For some time now, Megan Mouse-Zayn has dismissed Sami Zayn’s concerns of the so-called “curse,” but after what we just witnessed Kevin, I think it’s safe to say that Megan never wholly understood what they were dealing with…

Kevin Kelly: [quietly, unsettled] It’s clear that this isn’t a game anymore, Arn. The curse… it’s real, and it’s coming for Megan. If Sami Zayn is unable to stop Danhausen at Sympathy for the Devil, who knows what the future holds for the BWM Inc. Chairs.

Arn Anderson: Folks, we’re going to cut the back and try to get this mess cleaned up, and then we’ll be back with the first of two matches tonight, as Ludwig Kaiser and Hook will go one on one, this time Gunther is banned from ringside!

Backstage, Renee Young is standing by, microphone in hand as she introduces her guest.

Renee Young: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF!

The camera pulls back slowly, revealing MJF dressed sharply in a suit, his signature scarf tying the whole ensemble together. He oozes arrogance, as usual.

Renee Young: MJF, we just witnessed a shocking moment with Danhausen and Megan Mouse-Zayn. What’s your take on what we saw?

MJF rolls his eyes, clearly unimpressed.

MJF: [chuckling] Oh, please, Renee. You want my take on that circus act? Look, I’m not exactly in the business of entertaining make-believe stories about curses and blood baths. But any time I get to see Megan Mouse-Zayn humiliated in front of the world, it’s a good day.

MJF pauses for effect, as Renee givens him a questioning look.

MJF: [serious] Let’s not forget, sweetheart. Megan? She’s just as complicit as her little puppet husband in stealing my AEW World Heavyweight Championship. She stood by, smiled, and helped Sami Zayn pull off one of the biggest heists in wrestling history. So yeah, if I get to watch her drown in blood, I’m not complaining.

MJF: [leaning in, voice lowering] Make no mistake, Renee. If Sami somehow survives his little date with Danhausen at Sympathy for the Devil, I’m going to rip him limb from limb at Elite Warfare. One way or another, I’m walking out of there with what’s mine—the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. The title I never lost. And I’m counting down the days.

Renee Young: Switching gears, I think it’s fair to say that you’ve always been somewhat divisive. In fact, some online pundits have expression confusion about whether or not you’re a ‘good guy’ or a ‘bad guy.’ Care to clarify?

MJF throws his head back, laughing mockingly at the question.

MJF: [shaking his head] Good guy? Bad guy? Renee, you and these ‘online pundits’ must be living in a fairy tale. This isn’t a comic book, sweetheart—life doesn’t work like that. There’s no black and white, no heroes or villains. I’m not a good guy. I’m not a bad guy. I’m just the guy who does whatever it takes to get back what belongs to me.

Before Renee can follow up, Will Ospreay storms into the frame, seething.

Will Ospreay: [heated] You need to get your boy Logan Paul under control, mate!

MJF looks at him with exaggerated disinterest, folding his arms.

Will Ospreay: Not only did he play a part play a part in costing me that match with you, but then he had the nerve to act like it was just the ‘cost of doing business.’ You gonna do something about that, or do I have to?

MJF shrugs nonchalantly, his eyes never leaving Ospreay’s.

MJF: [dryly] Whatever problem you have with Logan Paul is between you and him. I’m not his babysitter. Besides, I’m not concerned with your grievances—I’m focused on one thing: the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

Ospreay’s jaw tightens, his voice growing cold as he steps closer.

Will Ospreay: That’s funny… because I’m focused on the same damn thing. I’ll be in the Elite Warfare match too. So, you might want to keep your head on a swivel.

MJF’s smirk returns, but there’s a glint of seriousness in his eyes.

MJF: [leaning in slightly] I’m not afraid of you, or anyone else in that match—when it’s all said and done, I’ll be the last man standing. And if that means stepping over your broken body on my way to reclaiming my title… so be it.

MJF and Ospreay lock eyes in a tense standoff, as Renee shifts uncomfortably. It looks as if they might come to blows, but just as Ospreay clenches his fists, MJF steps back with a cocky grin, raising a finger.

MJF: [whispering smugly] I’m better than you, Will… and you know it.

MJF casually walks off, as Ospreay stands seething, his jaw clinched in anger.

Renee Young: [nervously] Well, uh… looks like things are heating up heading into Elite Warfare. Will Ospreay, thank you for your time

Ospreay doesn’t even acknowledge her as his eyes are still locked in the direction MJF walked off in as the scene fades.

Back at ringside, Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly discuss what we just witnessed, with tensions growing between MJF and the Aerial Assassin Will Ospreay. Anderson notes that he’s just gotten word, that at Elite Warfare, Logan Paul and Will Ospreay will go one on one for the first time ever! Kelly says the card is coming together, and promises Ospreay and Paul will be a match we all remember for a long time come.

Match #1 | Exhibition Match (Gunther banned from Ringside)
Hook vs. Ludwig Kaiser

As the introductions are made, the remnants from Megan Mouse-Zayn’s blood bath can be seen in the ring, with the canvas stained despite the ring crew’s cleanup efforts.

Arn Anderson: It was just three weeks ago we saw Ludwig Kaiser and Hook end in a disqualification thanks to the AEW Television Champion, the Ring General Gunther’s involvement. Tonight, Gunther’s banned from ringside, and we will have a winner!

Kevin Kelly: Gunther and Hook have been on a collision course for months now, and it’s just a matter of time before the two settle the score. But first, Hook needs to get through Kaiser, who has been an absolute force to be reckoned with since arriving on scene and aligning himself with the Ring General.

As the bell sounds, Hook and Kaiser tie up, jockeying for position. Hook pushes them towards the corner, forcing a break. Hook backs off and they tie back up, this time Kaiser goes for Hook’s arm, wrenching it behind his back. Hook rolls through through arm wringer, hitting a modified belly to back suplex that sends Kaiser to the mat.

Kaiser pops up quickly, shoving Hook in frustration. They tie up once more, and Kaiser forces Hook into the corner, unleashing a barrage of forearms that redden Hook’s chest. Referee Lance Storm admonishes Kaiser, who shrugs it off before locking on a headlock.

Hook reverses it, sending Kaiser into the ropes. He swings at Kaiser with a back elbow as he bounces off the ropes, but Kaiser ducks it. He catches a kick from Hook, hitting a corkscrew that sends Hook towards the corner.

Kaiser follows up with some hard stomps in the corner, relishing the boos from the crowd. As the fans chant “Hook! Hook!” in support, Kaiser mocks them, drawing out more heat. Hook tries to rally, but Kaiser floors him with a snap suplex, rolling Hook into a pinning combination for a quick two-count.

With both men back to their feet, Kaiser charges at Hook with a high knee, but Hook catches him with a catch and release suplex! As Kaiser gets back to his feet, Hook sends him tumbling to the outside with a clothesline. Hook follows him to the outside, lifting him and dropping him spine-first onto the apron.

Kaiser grabs his back in pain, before shoving Hook into the steel steps to catch a reprieve. As Hook recoils in pain, Kaiser rolls in and out of the ring to break the count. Kaiser circles around the ring, charging at Hook, drilling him with a running dropkick that drives Hook’s head into the steps!

Arn Anderson: Kaiser is showing a real viciousness here, and Hook’s in trouble!

Kasier scoops Hook up and tosses him towards the announce table. He bounces Hook’s head off the commentary desk before whipping him back into the ring, taking a moment to taunt the crowd who responds with boos.

Back in the ring, Kaiser goes for a German suplex, but Hook throws a few elbows forcing him to release the hold. Hook fights back with a sinning Fisherman suplex, before climbing to the second rope and leaping off with a diving knee drop to Kaiser’s neck. Hook covers, but Kaiser manages to kick out at two.

Both men stumble back to their feet, and Hook throws Kaiser into the corner with an overhead belly to belly. Kaiser rolls over, in a seated position in the corner. Hook charges at him, catching him with a vicious running knee to the face! Hook scoops him back up, looking for a reversed atomic drop. However, Kaiser counters and catches him with an enziguiri that sends him dropping to the mat. Kaiser covers, again getting a close two-count

Both men are on their knees, and they begin trading forearm strikes. Kaiser lands a hard shot, but Hook responds with a sharp right hand, sending Kaiser staggering. They stand, continuing the exchange, with Hook’s punches proving more effective. Hook ducks under a wild swing from Kaiser and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, gaining the upper hand once again.

Kaiser scrambles to his feet, and Hook looks for the Redrum. Kaiser reverses it, rolliing him up for a surprise pin attempt, but Hook kicks out at two once more. Kaiser, desperate, charges at Hook and hits him with a big boot to his chest, sending him into the ropes. Kaiser hits his spinning lariat (the Kaiser Roll) for a very near fall!

Arn Anderson: That’s about as close as close gets! Kaiser almost had him!

Fire up, Kaiser goes for the leg lace DDT, but Hook fights out of it. He grabs Kaiser’s arm and flips him over into a brutal exploder suplex!

Sensing victory, Hook waits for Kaiser to get up, locking on the Redrum! Kaiser flails desperately, struggling to escape but Hook tightens his grip. Kaiser’s flailing slows, before he fades out entirely. Referee Lance Storm checks the arm, and Kaiser is out!

Winner: Hook
Match Time: 13:45

As the bell sounds, Hook stands over Kaiser, looking down at his motionless opponent for a moment before a dark glint flashes in his eyes. Without hesitation, Hook starts viciously stomping on the unconscious Kaiser, relentless as the referee pleads with him to stop.

Kevin Kelly: Oh come, Hook! You’ve already won the match, what are you doing?!

Arn Anderson: Hook is sending a message to the Ring General through his right-hand man!

Hook grabs Kaiser by his hair and drags his limp body to the outside. He slams Kaiser’s head against the steel steps and walks him over to the commentary table. The crowd pops as Hook sets Kaiser up, looking to deliver a devastating T-Bone suplex through the table.

Kevin Kelly: Oh no, what’s Hook thinking? He’s about to destroy Kaiser!

Suddenly, the crowd boos as Gunther charges down the ramp, tacking Hook before he can send Kaiser through the table. The two men trade heavy blows, neither willing to back down as they brawl around ringside.

Arn Anderson: Gunther wasn’t going to allow Hook to finish the job on Kaiser! This has been brewing for months!

Hook ducks a forearm and land a quick jab to Gunther’s chin. Gunther responds with a European uppercut that sends Hook reeling. Before either man can gain the upper hand, security rushes to the ring, trying to separate them. It takes a swarm of officials to pull Gunther and Hook apart, though both continue to lunge at each other.

Kevin Kelly: This rivalry has reached its boiling point! These two men are ready to tear each other apart! Don’t go anywhere folks, we’ll be right back from this commercial break!

SEGMENT TWO

We cut to Megan Mouse-Zayn’s office, where she’s slumped over her desk sobbing uncontrollably, her face and hair and clothes stained with the remnants of the blood bath that rained on her earlier in the evening. Her makeup is smeared, and her shoulders shake as she struggles to catch her breath and pull herself together.

Beside her, AEW Head of Security the Big Bossman stands trying to comfort her, unsure of what to say or do. He takes a step towards her, but his words fall flat.

Big Bossman: [gently] Listen, Megan. It’s gonna be okay, I’ve swept the arena and—

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [snapping, through her tears] Save it! If you had any sense at all none of this would be happening, instead you’re just reacting instead of anticipating, and stopping this madness!

Bossman takes a step back, not wanting to make things worse. Suddenly, the door opens and Sami Zayn enters, looking just as disheveled as when we saw him last, his hair a mess, his eyes wild and sunken in, as if he hasn’t slept for weeks.

Without saying a word, he rushes to Megan, who stands to accept his embrace, immediately collapsing into his arms as she sobs. She holds him tightly, as if he’s the only thing keeping her standing.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [choking on her words] I’m sorry, Sami… I’m so sorry… I should’ve listened to you, I didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t have your back!

Sami shushes her, stroking her hair gently, his voice surprisingly calm despite the madness in his eyes.

Sami Zayn: [softly] Shh… It’s okay, it’s okay. You don’t need to apologize. Danhausen wants to divide us, Megan. The whole world is against us because they can’t stand how powerful we are. We’re the most dominant couple this industry has ever seen. That’s why they hate us.

He pulls back slightly, just enough to look her in the eyes, his voice turning sharp, almost obsessive.

Sami Zayn: [intensely] They want to tear us apart. But we’re not gonna let them. We can’t let them.

Megan wipes her face with trembling hands, her voice shaking with regret.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [softly] Sami… I’m starting to think we went too far. Stealing BWM Inc. from my father… I don’t know if it was worth all of this. Maybe this is our punishment? Maybe we deserve this?

Sami’s expression hardens. He grabs her shoulders firmly, but not unkindly, forcing her to look at him.

Sami Zayn: [sternly] No, Megan. Don’t do this. Don’t go there. Regret is useless, what’s done is done and we both know it’s too late to go back. We’ve got to keep moving forward. We didn’t do anything wrong—we did what we had to do. Benny was unwell, and he was going to bring down this company with him. We took the keys to the kingdom because we had to, to preserve his legacy…

Sami Zayn: [sighing] I should… I shouldn’t have let Liv Morgan kiss me. I was not in the right state of mind, and it just happened—

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [interrupting, shaking her head] No, stop. That doesn’t matter now, it’s water under the bridge. I just want my husband back.

Sami cups her face in his hands, looking into her eyes with an intensity that borders on desperation.

Sami Zayn: I’m not going anywhere, Megan. Ever. And in three weeks, at Sympathy for the Devil, I’m going to rid us of this miserable curse once and for all. Trust me, Megan. Everything’s going to be okay.

Megan stares at him, searching his eyes for reassurance. Slowly, she nods, her breathing finally starting to calm down.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: And what about Elite Warfare?

Sami leans in, pressing his forehead against hers.

Sami Zayn: One thing at a time, babe. First, we deal with Danhausen. Then, we’ll worry about everything else. But none of it matters if we don’t stay together. As long as we’ve got each other, we can do anything.

Megan’s eyes fill with tears again, but this time, they’re not from fear. She leans into him, her voice barely above a whisper.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [softly] I love you, Sami.

Sami smiles, his voice low but steady.

Sami Zayn: [sincerely] I love you too, Megan. You’re the only thing that matters. Don’t you ever forget that.

There’s a long pause, their foreheads still touching. Megan closes her eyes, exhaling deeply.

Megan Mouse-Zayn: [whispering] I know.

The scene ends with them holding each other tightly, the two in a united front against the chaos that surrounds them for the first time in weeks.

Back at the commentary table, Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly discuss what we just witnessed.

Arn Anderson: For the first time in weeks, Sami and Megan are finally on the same page, united amidst the turmoil caused by Danhausen and the curse.

Kevin Kelly: The only hope these two have of overcoming this war with Danhausen is a united front, and with just three weeks remaining before Sympathy for the Devil, their reconciliation couldn’t have come at a better time.

The announcers are cut off as “Paper Planes” by MIA hits, and the crowd erupts into cheers for the Knockouts Champion, Miss Athena Star! Star heads towards the ring confidently, scooping up a microphone as she faces the hard cam.

Miss Athena Star: [smiling] 270 days ago, I stood before the world with two New Year’s Resolutions. The first? I wanted to wrestle women I never got the chance to compete against.

Miss Athena Star: And I’m proud to say that I accomplished just that! Not only did I get to wrestle some of my favorites like Molly Holly, Angelina Love, and Bianca Belair, but I also finally got to compete against my career-long rival, Living Dead Girl, for the first time ever. Though that match ended without a clear winner, I’m happy to have lived up to that promise of sharing the squared circle with the women who helped me legitimize women’s wrestling!

Athena takes a moment to soak in the crowd’s admiration, her expression shifting as she moves to her second resolution.

Miss Athena Star: Secondly, I promised that before the year was over, I would regain the Knockouts Championship for the first time since the title was created in the EWA. And just like my first resolution, I lived up to that promise!

Miss Athena Star: 2024 has been a great year for me, but with the year drawing to a close, I stand on the precipice of a decision I’ve been struggling with for years: when is it time to hang up the boots?

The audience boos at the thought of Athena retiring, and she raises a hand to calm them.

Miss Athena Star: [reassuringly] Don’t worry, as long as I’m Knockouts Champion, I’m not going anywhere!

The crowd erupts into applause, but the mood shifts as Liv Morgan’s music hits. The number one contender arrogantly strides to the ring, her expression sharp and ready for confrontation as she approaches Athena for their first face-to-face meeting.

Liv Morgan: [smirking, microphone in hand] If you’re planning to hang up the boots when you lose that Knockouts Championship, you might want to start looking for a retirement home now, because in three short weeks, I’m taking that title from you. Now, allow me to introduce myself, I don’t believe we’ve met…

Athena rolls her eyes.

Miss Athena Star: Oh, I’m familiar with you… you’re the one who has been trying to sleep her way to the top since you got here…

Liv Morgan: [sarcastically] Oh, that’s pretty rich, coming form you. I was about 15 years old when I watched you do the same on your way to a brief but historic reign as Undisputed Champion of the World of Wrestling—the only woman to ever hold such an accolade.

Liv Morgan: [continuing] I remember watching as crowd after crowd chanted “slut” at you, while you bounced from Jesse Hash, to Christian Cage, and then to Metal Head, all within a few short weeks!

Athena’s expression darkens, but Liv continues unbothered.

Liv Morgan: [gloating] Unlike the audiences at the time, I didn’t see a slut. I saw a woman willing to do whatever it took to get ahead… A role model, even! Unfortunately, the Athena Star of 15 years ago isn’t the same woman standing before me tonight.

Liv steps closer, a twisted grin spanning her face.

Liv Morgan: What I see is an aging woman clinging desperately to the last shreds of relevancy she has left.

The crowd boos loudly at Liv’s words, but she presses on.

Liv Morgan: In three weeks, I’m not just going to take that Knockouts Championship from you… I’m going to do you a courtesy and put you out of your misery once and for all, but don’t worry, I’ll make sure your retirement party is extra special.

Athena scoffs, stepping forward so the two are face to face.

Miss Athena Star: I’ve heard this song and dance before. You’re not the first woman to talk a big game only to be put in her place. I seem to recall Ronda Rousey doing the same, and now look, you don’t see her around here anymore, do ya?

As things look as if they may come to a blow, Liv backs up, stepping through the second rope and onto the apron. She holds up her hand, showing three fingers for “three weeks” before hopping out of the ring and skipping up the ramp.

Suddenly, the atmosphere changes, as Timeless Toni Storm emerges through the audience, her eyes fixed on the champion, who is still looking towards Liv Morgan.

She doesn’t notice as Storm hops the barricade and slides into the ring.

Arn Anderson: [voice rising in concern] Look out, Athena!

With a swift motion, Toni clocks Athena in the head with her high heel, sending her crashing to the mat as blood trickles from her forehead!

Kevin Kelly: [shocked] What a despicable act! Toni Storm just blindsided the Knockouts Champion!

Arn Anderson: Athena Star has enemies coming from every direction!

From the top of the ramp, Liv Morgan watches the chaos unfold with a wicked smile, laughing at the spectacle. She claps slowly, relishing the turmoil as Athena struggles to regain her senses.

Toni Storm kneels next to Star’s unconscious body, her expression cold. She picks up the Knockouts Championship, looking at it longingly as the crowd boos. Her eyes gleam with ambition as she admires the title.

Kevin Kelly: This is disgraceful!

She slowly drapes the championship over Star’s body as she looks up the ramp towards Liv Morgan, who is laughing uncontrollably.

Match #3: Winner to face Bryan Danielson on Tuesday Dynamite
Kenny Omega vs. Hangman Adam Page

As the introductions are made, Anderson and Kelly discuss the announcement at the start of the show pertaining to the triple threat match at Sympathy for the Devil, with the winner getting their choice between the 60th spot in the Elite Warfare match or an immediate world title match. Kelly says that the winner of this match will face Danielson tomorrow night, and the winner of that match can choose the match type stipulation for the triple threat.

Kevin Kelly: Hangman Adam Page has been completely unhinged since Kenny Omega defeated him at Aftershock. He’s been obsessed with getting his win back over Omega, can he do it tonight?

Arn Anderson: If anyone can push Omega to the limit, it’s Hangman Page. But you’ve got to think, with all the history between them, Omega knows exactly how to break Hangman down.

As the bell sounds, they immediately lock up, and it’s Page who strikes first, forcing Omega into the corner with a hard, echoing chop. The audience boos as Hangman follows up with a series of strikes. Omega fires back with a stiff kick to the face, followed by a middle rope elbow drop to the back.

Kevin Kelly: Omega’s got some confidence after winning their last bout, but this isn’t the same Hangman he faced at Aftershock. Page has been laser-focused.

Arn ANderson: Absolutely, Kevin. Omega may have won the first round, but Page isn’t here to play second fiddle anymore.

Omega goes for another strike, but Page quickly counters with a suplex, driving Omega hard into the mat. He tosses Omega to the outside as the crowd showers him with boos once more. With Omega on the outside, Page climbs to the top rope and launches himself into a huge moonsault, taking Omega down. Page kips up as he erupts with a burst of adrenaline.

Page grabs a hand full of Omega’s hair and tosses him into the steps before sending him back inside. As Page comes in through the second rope, Omega is back to his feet and hits him with a spinning heel kick. He follows up with the rolling downward spiral, sending Page to the canvas. The fans pop for Omega as he grabs Page for a quick snap Dragon Suplex into a cover, but Page powers out at two.

Kevin Kelly: Omega’s trying to keep Page grounded with those suplexes, but Hangman just keeps coming!

Arn Anderson: You’d like that, wouldn’t you? Freak!

Omega ascends to the top rope, looking to capitalize, but Page is back on his feet, rushing up to meet him. The two men trade shots on the top turnbuckle until Omega manages to shove Page off. Omega follows with a picture-perfect missile dropkick, and as Page struggles to stand, Omega hits a V-Trigger knee right to the face!

Kevin Kelly: V-Trigger connects!

Omega pulls Page up, setting him up for the One-Winged Angel, but Page fights free, landing behind Omega and nailing him with a hard lariat! The fans are on their feet as Hangman signals for the Buckshot Lariat. He bounces off the ropes and goes for it—but Omega ducks at the last second, catching Page with a Snapdragon Suplex!

Omega wastes no time, following up with another V-Trigger, this time hitting Page square in the jaw. The crowd gasps as Page stumbles, but before Omega can hit another move, Page counters, hoisting Omega onto his shoulders and delivering a Death Valley Driver onto the apron! Omega is in agony as Page rolls him back into the ring.

Kevin Kelly: An unbelievable counter! Page is giving everything he’s got tonight!

Omega, dazed, tries to rise, but Page grabs him and hits a Deadeye onto the steel steps! The impact is sickening, and the crowd gasps in unison. Page takes a moment to gather himself before dragging Omega back into the ring.

Arn Anderson: That’s gotta be it, Omega looks out cold after that Deadeye!

Inside the ring, Page lifts Omega up, ready to put him away. He attempts another Buckshot Lariat, but Omega catches him mid-air and locks in an armbar, twisting Page’s arm with vicious precision! Page writhes in pain, but somehow manages to drag himself to the ropes.

Kevin Kelly: Omega just pulled that armbar out of nowhere! Hangman’s arm might be useless after this!

Showing his frustration, Omega pulls Hangman back to his feet, setting up for the One-Winged Angel again. But Page fights out, hitting a brutal rolling elbow that sends Omega reeling. Omega tries to recover, but Page hits the ropes and connects with a devastating Buckshot Lariat!

Arn Anderson: There it is! The Buckshot Lariat! This might be all she wrote!

Hangman collapses on top of Omega for the cover.

The referee counts 1…

2…

OMEGA KICKS OUT!

The crowd is in disbelief, and so is Page. Exhausted, he climbs to the top rope, signaling for a final move. He hits a thunderous Shooting Star Press onto Omega!

He pulls Omega back to his feet, before dropping him on his head with another Deadeye! Page hooks the leg.

1…

2…

3!!!

The bell rings and the crowd erupts into boos as Jane Mouse announces Page as the winner.

Winner: Hangman Adam Page
Match Time: 20:07

Kevin Kelly: After a tough loss at Aftershock, Hangman Adam Page has evened the score with Kenny Omega, and has won the right to face Bryan Danielson on tomorrow’s Dynamite!

Arn Anderson: I question some of Hangman’s tactics as of late, and this capacity crowd wasn’t shy about letting him know they feel the same, but at the end of the day, Hangman earned this one.

As Hangman celebrates, Danielson comes to the stage and the two state one another down as the announcers sign off, saying they’ll see us tomorrow night!
