SEGMENT ONE
The camera pans over the roaring crowd as pyrotechnics explode around the stage. The familiar voices of Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly welcome us back to Chaos!
Arn Anderson: Welcome, everyone, to AEW Chaos! We are just nine days away from Aftershock, and what a night it’s shaping up to be!
Kevin Kelly: That’s right, Arn! We’ve got a stacked card coming your way. Sami Zayn will defend his AEW World Heavyweight Championship against none other than Brock Lesnar!
Arn Anderson: And don’t forget about the grudge match between MJF and Armageddon. Plus, a dream match for the ages—Bryan Danielson will go one-on-one with Will Ospreay!
Kevin Kelly: And this Monday on Dynamite, it’s going to be a war as A-Town Down Under faces FTR. The winners will earn the right to challenge the tag team champions, The Acclaimed, at Aftershock!
Before they can continue, the lights dim, and “Paper Planes” by MIA plays through the arena speakers. Miss Athena Star, the AEW Knockouts Champion, strides to the ring, holding her title high to a loud pop from the audience.
Arn Anderson: Looks like we’re about to hear from the Knockouts Champion herself, Miss Athena Star.
Athena Star stands in the center of the ring, microphone in hand, soaking in the cheers from the crowd.
Miss Athena Star: Last week on Dark, just like all of you, I was shocked when Timeless Toni Storm decided to pop up on the tron and issue a challenge for my Knockouts Championship.
The crowd pops at the mention of Toni Storm.
Miss Athena Star: Well, Toni, if you think you’re ready to step into the ring with me, you don’t have to wait. You can find me at Aftershock, and we’ll see if you can handle the brightest star in AEW!
Before Athena can continue, Sasha Banks’ music hits, and “The Boss” makes her way to the ring, receiving a mixed reaction from the fans. She stands face-to-face with Athena.
Sasha Banks: Athena, let’s be real—no one deserves a shot at the Knockouts Championship more than me. I headlined the biggest show of the year and took down ULW’s Alexa Bliss. I’m the uncrowned champion, and everyone knows it.
The crowd is electric as the longtime rivals come face to face.
Miss Athena Star: Sasha, I’ve been waiting for this moment—to step into the ring with you again. But if you want a shot at this title, you’ll have to earn it. The last time you and Toni Storm went one-on-one, you couldn’t get the job done. It ended in a time limit draw.
Athena smirks as Sasha looks determined.
Miss Athena Star: So, this Monday on Dynamite, you and Toni can have your rematch. The winner gets a shot at me at Aftershock. What do you say?
Sasha Banks looks around at the crowd, then back at Athena with a determined nod.
Sasha Banks: You’re on.
Just as the tension rises, Chyna suddenly leaps over the barricade and slides into the ring. She blindsides Athena Star with a devastating clothesline, laying her out! Sasha Banks steps back, laughing as Chyna stands tall over the fallen champion.
Hangman Adam Page is visibly fuming as he makes his way through the backstage area. He finally spots Bryan Danielson, who is casually leaning against a wall, chatting with a crew member.
Hangman Adam Page: Danielson!
Danielson looks up, raising an eyebrow as Page approaches.
Hangman Adam Page: I heard you talking shit last week on Dynamite about me.
Danielson smirks, folding his arms across his chest.
Bryan Danielson: I’m shocked you could sober up long enough to even understand what’s happening around here.
Page’s jaw tightens as he steps closer, getting right in Danielson’s face.
Hangman Adam Page: I’ve always known you were a piece of shit, Bryan, but last week just confirmed it.
Danielson chuckles, shaking his head slightly.
Bryan Danielson: I’m only calling a spade a spade, Page. You seem hellbent on destroying both your own career and Omega’s with that bottle of yours.
The tension thickens as Page clenches his fists.
Hangman Adam Page: The only thing I want to destroy right now is you, Bryan.
Page’s voice is low and dangerous as he stares Danielson down.
Hangman Adam Page: So how about we settle this Monday night on Dynamite?
Danielson’s smirk grows wider as he considers the challenge.
Bryan Danielson: You know what, I could use a little warm-up before Ospreay at Aftershock, so yeah, I’m in.
Danielson steps in even closer, almost nose-to-nose with Page.
Bryan Danielson: Just make sure you get plenty of rest beforehand, Hangman. It’d be a shame if I had to kick your ass while you’re hungover.
Page’s eyes flare with rage as the two men stand inches apart. After a few intense seconds, Danielson takes a step back, a smug grin on his face.
Bryan Danielson: See you Monday.
With that, Danielson turns and walks away, leaving Page seething as the scene fades out.
Match #1 | AEW Television Championship
‘The Ring General’ Gunther (C) w/ Ludwig Kaiser vs. Mr. Perfect
Ludwig Kaiser: Ladies and gentlemen, please rise and show respect to the reigning, defending AEW Television Champion… the Ring General, GUNTHER!
Gunther makes his way to the ring, showered with boos, as the AEW TV Championship rests around his waist. Kelly says this is Gunther’s first title defense since upsetting Swerve Strickland at Cruel Summer.
The familiar sound of Mr. Perfect’s entrance theme echoes through the arena as he makes his way down the ramp. Though a legend in his own right, he appears slightly apprehensive as he stares down the intimidating figure of Gunther.
The bell rings, and Mr. Perfect circles the ring, trying to find an opening. He attempts a series of quick strikes and grapples, but Gunther remains unfazed, his expression one of cold focus.
Gunther catches Perfect mid-strike and delivers a thunderous chop to the chest, sending him crashing to the mat. The crowd winces as the impact echoes through the arena. Gunther doesn’t let up, lifting Perfect effortlessly and slamming him back down with a powerbomb. The force rattles the ring, and the crowd gasps.
Perfect tries to recover, but Gunther is relentless. He grabs Perfect by the throat, hoisting him up before delivering a devastating lariat that flips Perfect inside out. The referee drops to the mat, and Gunther covers him for the pin.
Winner: ‘The Ring General’ Gunther
Match Time: 5:07
As Gunther stands over his fallen opponent, Mr. Perfect is heard off-mic, gasping for breath.
Mr. Perfect: Come on, you’re practically German… finish the job! Go on, break my neck…
Mr. Perfect imitates a German accent as he pleads. Gunther’s expression hardens as he hears the words. Without hesitation, Gunther picks Perfect up again and delivers another crushing powerbomb, leaving him motionless on the mat.
The crowd is left in stunned silence as Gunther raises his title high, standing over Mr. Perfect’s body as the scene fades out.
SEGMENT TWO
The camera cuts to a quiet hallway backstage where Paul Heyman is seen approaching a door labeled “Samoan Connection.” He hesitates for a moment before knocking and entering. Inside, Umaga and Yokozuna are seated, deep in conversation. They look up as Heyman enters.
Paul Heyman: Gentlemen.
Umaga and Yokozuna nod in acknowledgment, but their faces remain stern. Heyman takes a deep breath before speaking.
Paul Heyman: I came to ask if either of you have heard from the Tribal Cheif.
Umaga and Yokozuna exchange glances before shaking their heads.
Yokozuna: No. Not a word. Not since he blew up on us after Starrcade.
Heyman sighs, running a hand over his face, clearly troubled.
Paul Heyman: I’m worried about him. First, the loss at Starrcade, then the Usos leaving for WWE, the loss to Lesnar on the season premiere…and then…the death of his father. Roman’s been through hell.
Heyman continues, his voice filled with regret.
Paul Heyman: And I know I was a distraction to him during that match with Lesnar. I…I cost him his chance to main event Aftershock. I failed him when it mattered most.
Heyman’s eyes meet those of Umaga and Yokozuna, his expression pleading.
Paul Heyman: But I’m not the only one who needs to own up to their mistakes. You two…you need to face what happened at Starrcade. The Bloodline…we were unstoppable, and now we’re barely holding on.
Umaga and Yokozuna remain silent, their eyes narrowing as Heyman’s words hit home.
Paul Heyman: Everyone’s talking about how MJF got screwed by Sami Zayn at Retribution, but they seem to forget—Roman was moments away from winning the top prize in this industry before Sami inserted himself into that match.
Paul Heyman: The past is in the past, but we need to make it right. We need to make sure Roman is okay, and when he comes back, we need to be stronger than ever. The Bloodline belongs at the top, and it’s our mission to put us back there.
The room falls into a heavy silence as Heyman finishes speaking. Umaga and Yokozuna share a look, their expressions softening as they take in Heyman’s words.
Yokozuna: We’ll find him, Paul. We’ll make this right.
Umaga nods in agreement. Heyman exhales, relieved but still burdened by the weight of their mission.
Paul Heyman: Thank you. For all our sakes, we have to.
Heyman turns to leave, his expression still troubled, as the scene fades out.
Match #2 | Exhibition Match
The Street Sharks (Rip & Slammer) vs. S.C.U. (Kaz & Scorpio Sky)
Rip and Slammer, both towering and massively built, exude confidence as they climb into the ring, ready to take on their opponents. S.C.U. is out to a surprisingly strong reaction, however, despite the enthusiasm from the fans, there’s an air of unease as they face off against the much larger Street Sharks. Kazarian and Sky exchange a determined glance before stepping into the ring, ready to give it their all.
Arn Anderson: This one’s going to be a tall order for S.C.U. The Street Sharks are a whole different breed, and they’ve been making waves since their debut.
Kevin Kelly: That’s right, Arn. Rip and Slammer are absolute monsters in that ring, and they’re looking to make a statement tonight.
The match begins with Kazarian squaring off against Rip. Kazarian uses his speed, darting around Rip and trying to land quick strikes, but Rip barely flinches. Kazarian tries to bounce off the ropes for momentum, but Rip catches him mid-air with a thunderous powerslam that shakes the ring.
Arn Anderson: My God! Did you see that? Kazarian’s gotta be thinking twice about getting back up after that one!
Kazarian rolls in pain as Rip casually tags in Slammer. Slammer steps over the ropes and enters the ring, his massive frame casting a shadow over the fallen Kazarian. Slammer picks him up with one hand and tosses him into the corner like a ragdoll.
Kevin Kelly: Slammer’s power is unreal! Kazarian’s in a world of trouble, and we’ve barely gotten started!
Scorpio Sky, sensing the danger, reaches for the tag, and Kazarian manages to crawl over and tag him in. Sky leaps into the ring, aiming a high-flying dropkick at Slammer, but the big man barely budges. Sky bounces off the ropes, trying again, but Slammer catches him in mid-air, swinging him around into a brutal spinning spinebuster.
Arn Anderson: That’s gotta be it! These Sharks are unstoppable!
Rip is tagged back in, and the two Street Sharks set their sights on Sky. They lift him up together and deliver their devastating double-team finisher, “The Shark Bite,” a vicious double powerbomb that leaves Sky motionless on the mat. Rip goes for the cover as Slammer stands guard.
Kevin Kelly: The Street Sharks with the cover, and this one’s all but over!
The bell rings, and the Street Sharks are declared the winners. They stand tall in the ring, their dominance unquestioned, as the camera cuts to Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly.
Winners: The Street Sharks
Match Time: 6:09
As the Street Sharks exit the ring, Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly remain at the commentary desk, wrapping up the show.
Arn Anderson: Well, folks, that’ll unfortunately do it for us tonight, but what a night it’s been! The Street Sharks just dominated S.C.U., and if tonight was any indication, the tag team division better be ready for these two monsters.
Kevin Kelly: No doubt about that, Arn. But as we close out the show, we’ve got to talk about what’s coming up this Monday night on Dynamite. It’s shaping up to be an absolutely stacked episode!
Arn Anderson: You got that right, Kevin. We’ve got three huge matches already announced, starting with A-Town Down Under squaring off against FTR for the right to challenge The Acclaimed at Aftershock. That one’s gonna be a barnburner.
Kevin Kelly: And let’s not forget, Toni Storm and Sasha Banks part 2! After their brutal 30-minute draw last Friday, these two are ready to settle the score. The winner gets a shot at Athena Star at Aftershock – that’s going to be one for the ages!
Arn Anderson: Plus, the American Dragon Bryan Danielson is set to square off against Hangman Adam Page. With Aftershock just around the corner, you know both of these men are going to leave it all in the ring.
Kevin Kelly: And on top of that, we’ll hear from AEW World Heavyweight Champion Sami Zayn for the first time since Boogeyman’s shocking debut and the ratings loss Dynamite suffered last week! There’s a lot on the line, and it’s all going down on the final Dynamite before Aftershock!
Arn Anderson: It’s gonna be a can’t-miss show, folks. We’ll see you Monday night for Dynamite!
The screen fades to black as the AEW Chaos logo flashes on the screen, ending the broadcast.
