SEGMENT ONE
The scene opens with a chilling shot of Megan Mouse, sitting motionless in a wheelchair. She is adorned in elegant attire, a wedding veil draping over her face. The camera pans out to reveal Benny Mouse, the co-Chairman of BWM Inc., standing before her. His demeanor exudes a mixture of authority and sinister charisma.
Benny Mouse: [softly touching Megan’s cheek] My dear Megan, you’ve always been my guardian angel, haven’t you? Always ensuring my safety, my protection. Most father-daughter relationships, they’re supposed to work the other way around, but not ours.
He pauses, his voice carrying a sense of twisted gratitude.
Benny Mouse: Last week, Megan, last week was perhaps the most significant. The bullet you took for me… I won’t forget it. You’re my little girl, and giving you away… it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Benny straightens up his posture, a glint of pride in his eyes.
Benny Mouse: But I’m confident in our choice for you. Sami Zayn. Smart, strategic, willing to take what’s his in this life… reminds me a lot of myself, actually.
His tone turns resolute, unapologetic.
Benny Mouse: The world will criticize us, Megan. They always do. But the Mouse family didn’t climb to the top of this industry by caring what others think. We do what we must, by any means necessary.
He leans in, pressing a tender kiss to Megan’s forehead, her unresponsive form a haunting contrast to his affection.
Benny Mouse: I love you, Megan. After tonight, you won’t be my little girl anymore. You’ll be a married woman, and you’ll serve your husband well.
He gestures expansively, a vision of power and control.
Benny Mouse: One day, all of this… it’ll be yours. Well, Sami’s, technically. But you can share in his success. That’s what family does, Megan.
The camera lingers on Megan’s zombie-like face long enough to covey how uncomfortable this whole scene is before fading out and giving way to the opening video package for Dynamite.
The camera cuts to ringside, where Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly sit poised, ready to guide viewers through the electrifying action of AEW Dynamite.
Arn Anderson: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the 24th installment of Dynamite! We’re live from Charleston, West Virgina, the home of the 2024 World of Wrestling Draft! We’ve got a stacked card for you tonight, folks, but the story that’s been gripping us all continues to unfold before our very eyes.
Kevin Kelly: That’s right, Arn. Once again, the spotlight is on the ongoing saga involving Benny Mouse, Sami Zayn, and now, Benny’s daughter, Megan. Last week’s bombshell revelation of Sami’s marriage to Megan Mouse left the wrestling world reeling.
Arn Anderson: And let me tell you, Kevin, in all my years in this industry, I’ve never seen anything quite like it. The lengths these men will go to retain power, it’s downright chilling.
Kevin Kelly: Absolutely, Arn. There’s nothing Benny and Sami won’t do to maintain their grip on the throne of AEW, that much is clear after last week. And tonight, we’re all going to forced to witness their victory lap in the form of a farcical wedding reception!
Match #1 | Number One Contender for the AEW TV Championship
Gunther vs. Swerve Strickland
As Swerve Strickland’s music hits, the arena ignites with anticipation, signaling the beginning of what promises to be an intense showdown. Swerve strides confidently to the ring, his eyes focused on the task at hand. The audience roars with excitement as Gunther’s imposing figure emerges next, a silent but formidable presence.
Kevin Kelly: And here we go, folks! Swerve Strickland versus Gunther, with a shot at Cody Rhodes’s TV title hanging in the balance!
The bell rings, and the two competitors waste no time in engaging each other. Gunther asserts his dominance early on, unleashing a barrage of stiff chops that bruise Swerve’s chest.
Arn Anderson: Gunther coming out swinging, those chops are like sledgehammers!
Swerve, however, refuses to back down, countering with lightning-fast martial arts kicks that catch Gunther off guard. But Gunther quickly regains control, his sheer power evident as he nearly takes Swerve’s head off with a thunderous big boot. Gunther follows up his devastating big boot with a thunderous German suplex, sending Swerve crashing to the canvas. But to everyone’s surprise, Swerve is quick to his feet, showing incredible resilience.
Kevin Kelly: What resilience from Swerve! He’s refusing to stay down!
Arn Anderson: Swerve’s not going to let Gunther run away with this match.
Gunther charges at Swerve in the corner, looking to capitalize on his momentum, but Swerve leaps over him with lightning speed, showcasing his agility. Swerve then delivers a stunning spinning tornado DDT, sending Gunther crashing to the mat. Swerve seizes the opportunity and hits Gunther with a gutwrench powerbomb, but to his surprise, Gunther kicks out at the last possible moment, displaying his own resilience.
Swerve decides to take a high-risk approach as he ascends to the top rope, with Gunther close behind. Both men climb to the top, and just as Gunther goes for a vertical suplex, Swerve counters with lightning-fast reflexes, turning it into a brainbuster!
As Gunther sits back up, Swerve wastes no time and connects with his signature move, the House Call! Swerve covers Gunther, but somehow, someway, Gunther kicks out right before the three-count!
Kevin Kelly: Unbelievable! Gunther kicked out at the last possible moment!
The fans erupt into chants of “This is awesome!” as commentary agrees that this is, indeed, awesome. Swerve attempts to lift Gunther up for a piledriver, but the German powerhouse counters with a swift back body drop, sending Swerve crashing to the mat. With Swerve reeling, Gunther seizes the opportunity and scoops him up, drilling him into the canvas with a thunderous powerbomb. He goes for the cover, but Swerve kicks out at two.
Kevin Kelly: Swerve refusing to stay down! But you can see the frustration starting to build on Gunther’s face.
Indeed, Gunther’s frustration begins to show as he picks Swerve up once again, looking to deliver another punishing powerbomb. But Swerve has other plans as he reverses it into a sunset flip, rolling Gunther up for another near fall!
Arn Anderson: What a reversal by Swerve!
Before Gunther can react, Swerve goes for a spinning wheel kick, but Gunther narrowly dodges the attack. Seizing the moment, Gunther charges at Swerve with a thunderous clothesline, sending both men tumbling over the ropes and crashing to the outside.
As the brawl continues around the ringside area, the referee struggles to regain control of the match. Arn Anderson observes from ringside, offering his insights into the heated rivalry between these two competitors.
Arn Anderson: Folks, make no mistake about it. These two men genuinely dislike each other. This isn’t just about a shot at the TV Title. This is personal.
Kevin Kelly: They’re both competing for a spot that unfortunately, only one of them can have.
With the referee reaching a five-count, Swerve hoists Gunther onto his shoulders, looking to deliver a devastating Death Valley Driver onto the steel steps. But before he can execute the maneuver, Gunther manages to counter, turning it into a neckbreaker that sends both men crashing hard onto the unforgiving steel!
With neither man showing signs of getting back into the ring before the referee’s ten-count, the official has no choice but to call for the bell, signaling the first double count-out in AEW history!
Kevin Kelly: What a battle between Swerve and Gunther, but unfortunately, this one is going to have to be continued at another time.
Winner: No Contest
Match Time: 22:07
As both Swerve and Gunther slowly come to, their expressions reflect the frustration and disappointment at the outcome of their hard-fought battle. However, their attention is suddenly drawn to the entrance ramp as the familiar strains of the American Nightmare’s music fill the arena.
Kevin Kelly: Wait a minute, folks! It’s the TV Champion, Cody Rhodes!
Rhodes makes his way to the ring, the TV Championship gleaming around his waist. He steps into the ring, microphone in hand, and addresses the two competitors.
Cody Rhodes: I know this isn’t the result anyone had hoped for. But let’s not forget what just happened in this ring. You both put everything on the line, and you proved tonight that you deserve a shot at this title… and I am going to stay true to my word and be a fighting champion. So here’s what I’m proposing. Come Retribution, let’s settle this the right way. In a triple threat match for the TV Championship!
SEGMENT TWO
The scene opens in a bustling grocery store somewhere in Florida. The camera follows the Usos as they push their cart down the aisles, discussing what items to pick up for their shopping trip.
Jey Uso: Man, I can’t believe we’re stuck doing this while we’re serving out our suspension. I miss being in the ring, Uce.
Jimmy Uso: Tell me about it, Uce. And Roman’s pissed we aren’t there, but we couldn’t just sit back and let High Minded get the last laugh. That’s not how this works.
As they continue their conversation, the camera pans to the other side of the store, where Hulk Hogan, Matt Riddle, and Kevin Nash are stealthely browsing the aisles, clearly stalking the Usos.
Hulk Hogan: Brothers, I found ’em!
Matt Riddle [looking to a shopper in the distance that we can’t fully see] Whoa, guys, check it out! No way he’s here too! This is fuckin’ perfect!
As Riddle points out the mystery shopper in the distance, Jey Uso locks eyes with Hogan, alerting his brother to the danger lurking in the supermarket aisles.
Riddle whispers something to Hogan, and Hogan cracks a big smile.
Hulk Hogan: Heads up!
Suddenly, chaos erupts as the camera moves in on the shopper in the distance, who begins flipping out. The shopper begins shouting, cursing, and knocking down shelves as grocery items begin to rain down on the Usos! As the shot becomes more clear, we see a familiar face: The grizzled Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Moody!
Mr. Moody: You think you can mess with me, boys? I’ll show you what real combat is all about!
The Usos scramble to defend themselves as items continue to rain down on them from the shelves. Canned food catches their heads, immediately welting up as the items smack them. Moody swings his shopping bag like a weapon, as Hogan, Nash, and Riddle watch from a safe distance, laughing uproariously.
Hulk Hogan: Well boys, it looks like Mr. Moody’s got this one covered!
Matt Riddle: Dude, this is some next-level shit!
As the chaos continues to unfold, High Minded, the faction led by Hogan, Riddle, and Nash, declare their intentions loud and clear.
Hulk Hogan: [from the distance as Moody’s wild attack continues] This ain’t over, Usos! We won’t rest until you’re gone from AEW for good!
The camera captures the mayhem in the grocery store as the Usos and Mr. Moody engage in an unexpected skirmish, leaving the aisle in disarray. The scene fades out with High Minded laughing triumphantly.
Backstage, AEW Correspondent Taz stands ready with his microphone, awaiting the arrival of Ronda Rousey. As Rousey approaches, Taz wastes no time in diving into the interview.
Taz: Ronda, after nearly two years, you’re finally getting your shot at the Knockouts Championship that was unjustly taken from you at the start of All Elite Wrestling. How are you feeling heading into tonight’s match with Bianca Belair?
Ronda Rousey: First off, Taz, thanks for having me. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. It’s been a journey filled with setbacks and frustrations, but tonight, I finally have the opportunity to reclaim what’s rightfully mine.
Rousey pauses, gathering her thoughts before continuing.
Ronda Rousey: I appreciate Bianca acknowledging the truth – that I never lost the Knockouts Championship, it was taken from me. But let’s be real here, Taz. I didn’t come to AEW to sit on the sidelines and watch others take my spotlight. Benny Mouse promised me a prominent place in the Knockouts Division, but it seems like he made the same empty promises to every Knockout he signed. I’m not here to be an attraction, I’m here to be THE attraction!
Taz nods in understanding as Rousey’s frustration becomes evident.
Ronda Rousey: I’m tired of being overlooked and underestimated. If I fail to win tonight, I’m officially declaring myself for the World of Wrestling draft in June. I’m loyal only to myself, Taz. I’ll go wherever my best options lie.
Taz offers a sympathetic nod as Rousey expresses her determination.
Taz: Well, Ronda, it sounds like you’ve got a lot on your mind heading into this match. I wish you the best of luck out there tonight.
As Rousey nods in appreciation, she takes a deep breath, preparing herself mentally for the battle ahead. She thanks Taz for his kind words and heads off to prepare for her match.
Match # 2 | Number One Contenders for the Tag Titles
Tag Team Turmoil
As the ominous music of the Brothers of Destruction fills the arena, the crowd erupts in anticipation. The camera cuts to Kane and the Undertaker making their way to the ring, their intimidating presence sending shivers down the spines of all in attendance.
Kevin Kelly: The tag team turmoil match is about to get underway, and there’s perhaps no team more formidable than the Brothers of Destruction!
Arn Anderson: That’s right, Kevin. In this match, it’s essentially a gauntlet. Every time a team is defeated, a new one enters the fray.
As Kane and the Undertaker stand menacingly in the ring, the arena darkens once again as the Bludgeon Brothers make their entrance.
Kevin Kelly: And here come Harper and Rowan, the Bludgeon Brothers! This is a huge opportunity for them, Arn. Making their first appearance on AEW television this year, they’re looking to make a statement.
As the bell rings to kick off the match, Harper and Kane step into the center of the ring, locking eyes. The two powerhouse wrestlers engage in a fierce test of strength, each refusing to back down. After a grueling struggle, Kane manages to overpower Harper, showcasing his immense strength.
Harper and Kane continue to brawl around the ring, exchanging hard-hitting power moves with each other. Harper charges at Kane with full force, but the Big Red Machine counters with a devastating sidewalk slam, sending Harper crashing to the mat.
With Harper reeling, Kane takes advantage and tags in his partner, the Undertaker. The Deadman enters the ring with purpose, unleashing a series of strikes on Harper. He connects with a thunderous big boot, followed by a chokeslam that rattles the ring.
As Rowan attempts to intervene, Kane intercepts him and delivers a devastating chokeslam of his own, sending Rowan crashing to the outside of the ring.
Back in the ring, Harper tries to mount a comeback, but the Undertaker quickly turns the tables. With precision and grace, the Deadman ascends to the top rope, executing his signature Old School maneuver.
Arn Anderson: Vintage Undertaker!
With Harper stunned, the Undertaker follows up with a tombstone piledriver, driving Harper into the mat with authority. The referee counts the pinfall, and just like that, the Brothers of Destruction secure a decisive victory, making short work of the first team to fall in the Tag Team Turmoil match.
With the Bludgeon Brothers removed from ringside, the Best Friends Chuck Taylor and Trent Baretta are out next. The young guns charge at Kane and the Undertaker with reckless abandon, hoping to catch them off guard.
Kevin Kelly: The Best Friends wasting no time, charging into battle against the Brothers of Destruction!
Arn Anderson: Their bravery is admirable, but I’m afraid they may have bitten off more than they can chew!
Undeterred by the overwhelming odds, Taylor and Baretta unleash a flurry of strikes on Kane and the Undertaker. However, their efforts prove to be ineffective as the Brothers of Destruction overpower them with ease.
With precision, Kane and the Undertaker execute a double back body drop on Baretta, sending him crashing to the mat with incredible force. Taylor attempts to pick up where Baretta left off, but he is swiftly overwhelmed by the combined might of the Brothers of Destruction. The Brothers of Destruction are in perfect harmony as they hoist Taylor up, drilling him to the mat with a double chokeslam! Undertaker steps on Taylor with one foot, securing another three count and elimination!
Arn Anderson: What a display of dominance by the Brothers of Destruction! They’re absolutely unstoppable tonight!
As the Best Friends are removed from ringside, the Harlem Turtles, Stevie R and Booker D, make their electrifying entrance, the crowd erupts with excitement, recognizing the legendary duo’s impact on the wrestling world.
Kevin Kelly: Listen to this crowd, Arn! The Harlem Turtles are in the house, and business is about to pick up!
Arn Anderson: Stevie R and Booker D are widely regarded as the greatest tag team of all time, and tonight, they’re looking to prove why.
With their confidence radiating, Stevie R and Booker D step into the ring, locking eyes with their imposing opponents, Kane and the Undertaker. The Brothers of Destruction’s momentum finally begins to wane as the Harlem Turtles unleash a relentless assault.
Stevie R drills Kane with a thunderous DDT, leaving the Big Red Machine stunned on the mat. Without missing a beat, he follows up with a spectacular senton splash, landing shell-first on Kane’s head with precision.
As the Undertaker attempts to rally, Booker D springs into action, hurling him into the air with astonishing strength. In a seamless display of teamwork, Stevie R catches the Deadman mid-air and executes the devastating 3T maneuver!
Despite a valiant effort from Kane and the Undertaker, the Harlem Turtles prove why they are regarded as the best tag team of all time. With precision, skill, and determination, they eliminate the formidable Brothers of Destruction!
With the Brothers of Destruction eliminated, the final team of the night enter the fold. As the Acclaimed, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, make their entrance, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation. The commentators acknowledge the Acclaimed’s recent success in AEW, but also highlight the immense challenge they face against the legendary Harlem Turtles.
Arn Anderson: The Acclaimed have certainly made a name for themselves since arriving in AEW, but tonight, they’re facing their toughest test yet against the Harlem Turtles.
Kevin Kelly: The Acclaimed have been on a roll, but can they overcome the experience and skill of the greatest tag team of all time?
The Acclaimed and the Harlem Turtles engage in a back-and-forth battle, each team refusing to back down. The momentum shifts back and forth, with neither team able to gain a decisive advantage.
Just when it seems like the Harlem Turtles have the upper hand, Kane and the Undertaker reenter the ring, unleashing a ferocious assault on the team that eliminated them from title contention. The Acclaimed watch from the sidelines, seemingly content to let their opponents suffer.
Kevin Kelly: Wait a minute, what’s happening here? Kane and the Undertaker are back in the ring, and they’re attacking the Harlem Turtles!
Arn Anderson: The Brothers of Destruction are clearly unhappy with how things have played out tonight!
After the relentless assault, Kane and the Undertaker finally relent, leaving the Harlem Turtles battered and vulnerable. Sensing an opportunity, the Acclaimed capitalize on the chaos, delivering their devastating Mic Drop finisher to secure the victory in the tag team turmoil match!
Kevin Kelly: What a turn of events! The Acclaimed seize the moment and pick up the win!
Arn Anderson: They may not have won cleanly, but a win’s a win, Kevin. The Acclaimed have proven that they can hang with the best in AEW!
Winners: The Acclaimed
Match Time: 20:20
SEGMENT THREE
As Dynamite returns from the commercial break, chaos erupts backstage as Brock Lesnar finds himself in the midst of a brutal double team attack from Sting and Darby Allin. The cameras capture the intense brawl as the three men unleash their fury, wreaking havoc in the backstage area.
Security rushes in to intervene, attempting to break up the chaotic melee as Lesnar, Sting, and Allin continue to exchange blows. Merchandise booths are toppled over, and expensive television monitors are sent crashing to the ground in the midst of the chaos.
Just as it seems the situation may spiral further out of control, the Co-Chairman of BWM Inc., Sami Zayn, appears on the scene, his expression one of stern disapproval. Zayn wastes no time in addressing the unacceptable behavior unfolding before him, particularly on the night of his own celebration for his recent nuptials.
Sami Zayn: Enough is enough! This reckless behavior will not be tolerated, especially not tonight! We have a celebration to prepare for!
Security finally pulls them apart as Sami continues.
Sami Zayn: Sting and Lesnar, since you guys already have a match for Memorial Day weekend at Retribution, I’ve come up with a different idea for next week. Since you all seem so hellbent on tearing each other apart and destroying valuable AEW property, next week it’ll be Sting vs Darby Allin Part 2, and it’ll be a Falls Count Anywhere match!
A twisted smile wipes across Lesnar’s face, as he’s content with Zayn’s decision. Allin looks somewhat terrified as he and Sting retreat and the scene fades.
The scene transitions to a shot of Logan Paul exiting the locker room of the AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF. As Paul begins to make his way to gorilla for his upcoming Internet Championship defense against Sammy Guevara, he is intercepted by Renee Young, who’s keen to get his thoughts ahead of the match. With confidence oozing, Paul wastes no time in expressing his disdain for his challenger.
Logan Paul: Let’s get one thing straight, Renee. Sammy Guevara doesn’t deserve this shot. He’s only getting it because someone upstairs seems to have a soft spot for him. But let’s face it, I’ve never been impressed by him.
Renee tries to probe further, but Paul dismisses her questions, opting instead to indulge in some unsolicited flirtation.
Logan Paul: [eyeing her up and down] You know, Renee, I’ve always admired your… professionalism. But let’s not beat around your bush here. You and I both know there’s something between us.
As Renee attempts to rebuff his advances, Paul’s demeanor quickly turns sour, resorting to insults and derogatory remarks.
Logan Paul: Oh, I see how it is… I forgot that you only fuck rodents. Well, suit yourself. You’re just trash anyway.
With a smug smirk, Paul leaves Renee looking dejected as he makes his way to the ring, leaving a bitter taste in the air before his championship match.
Match # 3 | Internet Championship
Logan Paul (C) vs. Sammy Guevara
The bell rings, signaling the start of the match for the Internet Championship between Logan Paul and Sammy Guevara. Both competitors eye each other cautiously, aware of the stakes at hand. Logan Paul, with his trademark confidence, and Sammy Guevara, with his high-flying agility, are set to clash in a showdown of contrasting styles.
Kevin Kelly: We apologize for Logan Paul’s remarks a few moment ago with Renee Young. That poor woman has been put through the ringer on social media the past week, since coming up in the results of the Board’s investigation into Benny Mouse.
Arn Anderson: Logan may be a controversial figure, but he’s proven himself in the ring. And Sammy, well, he’s been off to a rocky start but he’s one of the most exciting young talents we have in AEW. Time is going to prove that he’s a star on the rise, and a win tonight could accelerate that path.
The two lock up in the center of the ring, jockeying for position. Logan utilizes his size advantage, overpowering Sammy and driving him into the corner. Sammy quickly counters with lightning-fast strikes, staggering Logan back.
Arn Anderson: Logan better not underestimate Sammy, he’s one of the quickest men on the roster.
Kevin Kelly: The old me would turn that into a sexual joke, but I’m professional now.
Arn Anderson: Oh will you knock it off!
Logan regains his composure and charges at Sammy, but Sammy ducks under his clothesline and hits the ropes. Sammy comes back with a springboard crossbody, taking Logan down to the mat.
Kevin Kelly: Incredible athleticism from Sammy Guevara!
As the match progresses, both competitors showcase their diverse skill sets. Logan utilizes his strength with power moves, while Sammy dazzles the crowd with his aerial maneuvers. The momentum shifts back and forth, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
In a pivotal moment, Sammy ascends to the top rope, looking to capitalize with his signature 450 Splash. The crowd erupts in anticipation as Sammy takes flight, but Logan rolls out of the way at the last second, narrowly avoiding disaster!
Kevin Kelly: Sammy went for that 450, but Logan Paul had it scouted!
Arn Anderson: Incredible ring awareness from a guy who’s only in what, his third pro match?
With Sammy stunned from the missed maneuver, Logan seizes the opportunity. He hoists Sammy up for a variation of the Skull Crushing Finale that Paul calls the “Hot Mic.”
With Sammy reeling, Logan ascends to the top rope, channeling his inner daredevil. The crowd watches in anticipation as Logan soars through the air, connecting with a picture-perfect frog splash!
The referee counts the pinfall, and the crowd erupts as Logan Paul retains his Internet Championship in a hard-fought battle against Sammy Guevara. As Logan celebrates his victory, the commentary team applauds the valiant effort from both competitors in a thrilling championship match.
Winner: Logan Paul
Match Time: 13:10
SEGMENT FOUR
Backstage, AEW Correspondent Renee Young is standing by with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman!
Renee Young: MJF, I’ve just received word that the match between you and Roman Reigns at Retribution has been made official. What are your thoughts on facing Reigns for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship?
MJF: Ah, Renee, it’s no secret to anyone with half a brain that Roman Reigns doesn’t deserve this title shot. He’s simply been handpicked by management because he’s aligned himself with the greatest con man in pro wrestling, Paul Heyman. And let me tell you something, from one Jew to another, I see right through Heyman’s charade. It’s clear as day to me that Heyman doesn’t care who he hitches his wagon to, as long as he gets close to the top prize in the business.
He smirks confidently, his words dripping with disdain.
MJF: But I’ve got bad news for Heyman. This championship? It’s not going anywhere. I’m not dropping this title to anyone. I’m going to make Dragonfly’s reign in PWI look like a blink of an eye, because I plan on retiring as the AEW World Heavyweight Champion!
Renee shifts slightly, pressing further with her questioning.
Renee Young: And what about Dragonfly’s reign coming to an end last week? Any thoughts on that?
MJF: Dragonfly’s reign in some third-rate company? I couldn’t care less. In my eyes, this right here is the only top prize in the world. Until those other so-called world champs step up and beat me, I’m THE guy in pro wrestling.
The camera widens, revealing Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns approaching MJF and Renee Young. Roman exudes confidence as he addresses MJF’s earlier remarks.
Roman Reigns: MJF, you talk a big game, but it’s my family that dominates this industry. The Bloodline runs through our veins, and by the time Starrcade rolls around, I’ll be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, and my cousin, The Rock, will be carrying the WWE Championship. The Bloodline will rule the world of professional wrestling, and I’m even considering sending one of my many cousins to PWI just to complete the trifecta.
MJF smirks, unimpressed by Reigns’ proclamation.
MJF: That’s a nice little goal you have there, Roman. But let’s be real. When it comes down to it, you’ll be left with a sour taste in your mouth, because you know deep down… I’m Better Than You.
The tension between the two intensifies as they engage in a heated staredown, their eyes locked in a battle of wills.
Roman Reigns: I’m going to beat your ass, MJF. But not tonight.
Reigns punctuates his words with a poke to MJF’s chest, leaving the AEW World Heavyweight Champion momentarily taken aback.
MJF: You’ll regret this, Roman.
With a final exchange of glares, Reigns and Heyman depart, leaving MJF to stew in his own indignation as the scene fades to black.
Match #4 | Knockouts Championship
Bianca Belair (C) vs. ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey
The crowd is on their feet as the main event for the Knockouts Championship kicks off with a flurry of action between Rowdy Ronda Rousey and the champion, Bianca Belair.
Arn Anderson: What a way to close out tonight’s Dynamite! Ronda Rousey looking to reclaim the championship she never lost against the current champion, Bianca Belair!
The two lock up in the center of the ring, each vying for an early advantage. Rousey surprises Belair with a lightning-fast arm drag, showcasing her technical prowess. But Belair quickly retaliates with her own arm drag, demonstrating her agility and strength.
Rousey maintains her composure and goes for a variation on the three amigos suplex sequence, but Belair manages to counter the third suplex, halting Rousey’s momentum. With a display of raw power, Belair hoists Rousey up for a her own series of standing delayed vertical suplexes, showcasing her incredible strength.
Arn Anderson: Impressive display of strength from the champion, Bianca Belair! She’s showing why she’s the EST of the Knockouts Division!
Bianca Belair and Ronda Rousey continue to battle it out for the Knockouts Championship, with control of the match see-sawing the entire time. Belair takes control, slamming Rousey into the corner and delivering a punishing double knee strike to her chest. She quickly goes for the cover, but Rousey kicks out at two.
Arn Anderson: Belair is relentless, Kevin! She’s targeting Rousey’s arm, trying to neutralize her submission game!
Belair focuses her attack on Rousey’s arm, capitalizing on the opportunity to exploit her opponent’s weakness. But Rousey fights back, showcasing her own striking ability with a powerful running elbow. Rousey attempts her signature move, Piper’s Pit, but Belair counters with a well-executed arm bar, putting pressure on the injured arm. The momentum swings back and forth as both competitors refuse to give an inch.
In a thrilling sequence, Rousey unleashes a series of German suplexes, displaying her incredible strength and technique. But Belair remains resilient, countering with her own offense, refusing to let up on targeting Rousey’s arm.
Kevin Kelly: They’re throwing everything they’ve got at each other!
Arn Anderson: Every time these Knockouts go out to this ring, they steal the show! Other companies claim they’ve got the most stacked women’s division in history, but these Knockouts make the most of the time they’ve got!
As the match reaches its climax, Rousey and Belair exchange a flurry of devastating moves, each trying to gain the upper hand. Rousey goes for the Piper’s Pit, but her arm has been weakened. In a stunning reversal, Belair manages roll out and lifts Rousey for her own finisher, the Kiss of Death! She covers Rousey and the referee counts the three, as Belair topples Rousey fair and square in the center of the ring!
Winner: Bianca Belair
Match Time: 15:57
The scene transitions to the elaborately decorated ring, adorned with opulent decorations fit for a wedding reception. Wrestlers, some looking uncomfortable, others outright resentful, surround the ring, their presence clearly compelled by management.
Metalingus hits and Benny Mouse strides confidently into the ring, his presence commanding attention. The crowd’s reaction is deafening, as the audience boos the sickening lengths Benny has gone through to retain power.
Benny Mouse: [raising his hand for silence] Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, it is with great pleasure that I stand before you tonight to introduce the newlyweds, my new son-in-law, Sami Zayn, and my beloved daughter, Megan Mouse-Zayn!
As Benny’s words echo through the arena, Sami’s music hits, and he emerges in a sleek tuxedo, a facade of charm masking any reservations he may have. He approaches Megan’s wheelchair, his movements calculated as he pushes her towards the ring.
The wrestlers at ringside, begrudgingly complying with the spectacle, lift Megan’s wheelchair into the ring with careful precision. Sami follows closely behind, his demeanor a mixture of suave confidence and underlying ambition. As the wheelchair is settled in the corner of the ring with Megan facing the turnbuckle, Sami extends his hand to Benny, the two men exchanging a handshake before pulling each other into a congratulatory embrace.
Despite the facade of celebration, there’s an unmistakable sense of camaraderie born from their recent triumph over adversity. Sami, seizing the moment, grabs hold of the microphone, his voice carrying with it a hint of defiance.
Sami Zayn: Before we delve into the festivities of our union, there’s a matter that requires our attention.
He pauses for effect, his gaze sweeping over the live crowd in Charleston, his next words dripping with calculated charisma.
Sami Zayn: Last week, the world bore witness to the absurdity of the Board of Directors’ so-called investigation into my esteemed father-in-law, Benny Mouse. These investigations were nothing more than a witchhunt, orchestrated by those who seek to undermine us. After careful consideration, Benny and I have come to a decision.
He locks eyes with Benny, a silent understanding passing between them. Benny nods at Sami, as if to give him the go-ahead.
Sami Zayn: We hereby relieve the Board of Directors of their responsibilities.
The declaration hangs in the air, a bold assertion of power that reverberates throughout the arena.
Sami Zayn: Furthermore, as my beautiful wife and I stand here tonight, basking in the glow of our union, I must address the matter of our impending honeymoon.
He casts a glance towards Megan, who remains facing the turnbuckle, her still figure a haunting reminder of their unconventional circumstances.
Sami Zayn: We have yet to embark on our honeymoon, for the simple reason that duty calls. Negotiations for the World of Wrestling Draft, scheduled for June 17 right here in Charleston, West Virginia, have consumed my time and attention. But fear not, for Megan and I will indulge in our well-deserved honeymoon once the season concludes. For now, however, work must come first. It’s the decree of the Mouse family, and as a newly inducted member by marriage, I am bound by its principles.
His tone shifts, a note of defiance creeping into his words.
Sami Zayn: Last week, we were subjected to the ramblings of Splinter, who sought to undermine our authority with his baseless accusations. But let me make one thing clear: the findings of their investigation hold no sway over us. The truth is what we say it is.
His gaze hardens, a glint of newfound resolve in his eyes.
Sami Zayn: Benny Mouse has shown me the true meaning of power. He has taught me that where there’s a will, there is always a way.
Sami Zayn is interrupted as “Voices” by Disturbed reverberates through the arena, the legendary Master Splinter emerges at the top of the ramp, his presence commanding attention. His voice booms over the crowd, filled with righteous indignation.
Splinter: What you’ve done, Sami… what you and Benny have done, it’s despicable.
Splinter locks eyes with Sami, shaking his head in disgust as he sizes up the newest member of the Mouse family.
Splinter: You sold your soul for power, Sami. Is this truly who you wanted to become? What would that 10-year-old Sami, eyes wide with wonder as he watched pro-wrestling on TV, think of you now?
Sami’s smirk falters, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features, quickly masked by defiance.
Sami Zayn: Spare me the lecture, you old rat. The real world doesn’t operate on childhood dreams and ideals. In the real world, you see something you want, and you take it.
He gestures towards the corner, where Megan’s still form sits, a silent testament to his ambition.
Sami Zayn: I have nothing to apologize for… Benny and I are simply seizing the opportunities that present themselves. That’s how you survive in this business.
Splinter remains unmoved.
Splinter: I won’t rest until you and Benny are stripped of your power. If the Board of Directors won’t hold you accountable, then I’ll find another way. The industry deserves better than this.
Sami: [dripping with content] You know what, Splinter? I’m so sick and tired of hearing about the industry. The industry didn’t make Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn and Benny Mouse made the industry! We’re the ones who lead the way, whether our competition wants to admit it or not.
Sami’s words ring out with conviction, punctuated by a sense of unwavering confidence.
Sami Zayn: And as we head into the 7th Era, we’re more successful and powerful than ever before. AEW is the reigning ratings juggernaut of the modern era, and that’s not going to change just because you don’t agree with our tactics!
He takes a step forward, his gaze locked on Splinter with unyielding resolve.
Sami Zayn: But like always, Splinter, we’re two steps ahead of you. I knew you wouldn’t give up after the Board’s feckless investigation. If you want me removed from power so badly, we don’t need to go through this whole charade.
His tone turns calculating, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.
Sami Zayn: Let’s settle this at Retribution. If you can beat me, I’ll reinstate the Board of Directors and comply with their wishes. But when you lose… you need to retire. For real this time.
The challenge is laid bare, the stakes higher than ever before.
Sami Zayn: When I beat you on Memorial Day weekend, I never want to see you on a wrestling program ever again. No appearances, no guest cameos, nothing. You can fade into the sunset and move into a retirement home for all I care.
Splinter’s voice cuts through the tension like a blade, his words dripping with venomous intent as he accepts Sami’s challenge with a chilling stipulation of his own.
Splinter: You want to settle this at Retribution, Sami? Fine. But I won’t be satisfied with just a standard match. No, I want to take you to hell. I want to break your bones, make you bleed, and pin your shoulders to the mat over and over again until there’s no doubt in your mind who you’re dealing with.
His eyes gleam with a ferocious determination as he unveils his chosen stipulation.
Splinter: That’s why, at Retribution, it’ll be you versus me in a TOTAL ANARCHY MATCH!
The crowd erupts into a frenzy of excitement and anticipation, the air crackling with electricity as the gravity of Splinter’s challenge sinks in. Sami’s grip tightens on the microphone, his expression a mixture of defiance and apprehension as he stares down his formidable opponent.
Sami Zayn: You want Total Anarchy, Splinter? You got it!
Sami drops the microphone, the camera capturing the moment of acceptance as the tension between the two adversaries reaches its peak. As the show fades to black, the echoes of their trash talk reverberate throughout the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center, setting the stage for a showdown of epic proportions at Retribution!
