SEGMENT ONE
Outside of the Desert Diamond Arena, a sleek black limousine pulls into frame, the BWM Inc. insignia painted on the side. As the doors pop open, the BWM Inc. Chairman Benny Mouse and the AEW Director of Operations emerge.
As they approach the talent entrance to the arena, they’re met with a wall of flesh as the Authors of Pain and the Harlem Turtles block their path forward.
Stevie R: Well, well, well. If it ain’t the big cheese himself and his trusty sidekick!
Booker D: We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but y’all ain’t coming in here. Not tonight.
Benny Mouse’s eyes narrow, as Sami quickly surveys their surroundings, noting the camera crew watching every bit of the interaction. Benny’s temper rises.
Benny Mouse: What is the meaning of this? Get out of my way, it’s my show. What do you mean I’m not going in? We’ve got every right to be here. I demand access to my arena IMMEDIATELY!
The Authors of Pain remain silent and unmoved. Akam hands Booker D a list, and he flips through the pages before chuckling and shaking his head.
Booker D: Sorry, Benny, but you’re not on the list tonight…
Sami, who sees Benny growing increasingly flustered by the unexpected change in their routine, tries to shuffle the Chairman off. He tells Benny they’ll find another way in. This does little to calm Benny Mouse down, however.
Benny Mouse: God dammit, let me in! I’ve got a show to run! We can’t let Mickey’s Project Extermination go unchallenged! I must defeat him in the ratings, and I’ve got to be in my office to make sure things go exactly as planned!
The Harlem Turtles laugh, in disbelief.
Booker D: Project Extermination? What year do you think it is?!?
Sami again tries to usher Benny off, and to find another way in, but Benny isn’t having it. He attempts to push forward through the blockade of the four much larger men, but he cannot find a path forward.
Stevie R: Sorry, it’s not happening, fellas! You and your handler may as well turn around, get back in that limo, and head on home.
Sami turns to Benny for a third time.
Sami Zayn: Come on, Benny. Let’s all calm down. There’s obviously been some confusion. Perhaps you’re just feeling a little bit off tonight? Low blood sugar, maybe? Let’s just take a moment to regroup and we’ll find—
Before Sami can finish, Benny Mouse lunges forward and he sinks his teeth into Booker D’s shin with surprising ferocity. Booker yelps out in pain, hopping on one foot while trying to shake Benny’s jaws loose.
Booker D: Ahh! Get him off!! What’s wrong with him?!?
Sami grimaces, realizing the gravity of the situation and the headache Benny’s increasingly public escalation will have on the both of them. He grabs Benny by the collar of his shirt and pulls him off Booker D, whose leg is now bleeding from Benny’s bite.
Sami Zayn: Uh, folks… nothing to see here! (Sami gestures to the cameras, as if he’s trying to dismiss them) Just a little misunderstanding, clearly. Benny’s fine, really. He just needs a snack. Come on Benny, let’s get you a Snickers or something.
With some effort, Sami pulls Benny away, guiding him back to the limo as the Harlem Turtles and the Authors of Pain watch in utter disbelief. Benny can be heard mumbling about the “USWA” as they reenter the limo, which quickly speeds off as soon as the door closes behind them. The sounds of the tires peeling out on the concrete are the last thing we hear as the scene fades.
The opening video airs, and the pyro explodes as Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly welcome us to Dynamite, our last stop before next week’s big show, Dragon’s Fury! They quickly discuss what we just saw, in which Benny appeared to confuse a current storyline from our competitors with something that happened two decades ago. Anderson says try as Sami might, what we just saw is going to be a lot harder to spin than the incident from last week. Not only was Benny clearly confused, he assaulted a talent in a way that’s utterly uncharacteristic of him. Kelly says Benny’s never had a problem finding other people to do his bidding, so seeing him bite Booker D truly took him by surprise. That said, we’ve got a huge night of action ahead of us, and we’re moments away from finding out who AJ Styles selected as Danielson’s opponent under the Dealer’s Choice stipulation!
Match #1 | Dealer’s Choice
‘The American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson (3-0) vs. ???
As Danielson makes his entrance, Kelly and Anderson discuss the attack on AJ Styles at Genesis that stunned the world. Anderson says that for a brief moment, Danielson had the attention of the industry, but that was quickly taken away from him when MJF announced he would be competing against the AEW World Heavyweight Champion at New Horizons. Kelly says that Danielson feels disrespected, as if his breakout moment was stolen from him, and that’s motivating him ahead of this match and next week’s challenge in the main event of Dragon’s Fury. Anderson says we very well could be looking at the uncrowned champion, and that it’d be unwise of AJ Styles to take this threat lightly.
As Danielson stands in the center of the ring, his face focused and intense, the titantron suddenly lights up and we see the familiar face of the AEW World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles on the screen!
AJ Styles: Well, Bry, I’m sure you’re wondering who your opponent is… I know I said I’d reveal that information by the end of this past weekend, but my search took a little more time than originally expected. You see, I’ve been scouring the back, trying to find someone worthy to step into the ring with you. And let me tell ya, it wasn’t the easiest task. But then I thought to myself, why limit ourselves to just the talent here in AEW?
Danielson’s brow furrows in confusion as Styles continues to speak.
AJ Styles: So, I expanded my search beyond these walls, beyond the confines of this great company. And lo and behold, I found someone… someone who shares a storied past with you, Bryan. Someone who knows you inside and out, someone who’s no stranger to stepping into the squared circle with the best of the best…
The crowd murmurs with intrigue, wondering who Styles could possible be referring to. As the tension mounts, a sly grin washes across AJ’s face.
AJ Styles: Bryan, my old friend… I wish you the best of luck tonight, because you’re truly gonna need it.
With that, the video fades to black, leaving Danielson in the ring. Suddenly, the lights dim, plunging the arena into darkness. A hush falls over the audience as they wait in anticipation. The familiar beat of “Coliseum Clash” blares, as the lights brighten and Samoa Joe stands atop the stage!
Arn Anderson: What the hell? It’s Samoa Joe!
Kevin Kelly: He doesn’t even go here!
The crowd erupts as Joe makes his way down the aisle, his face fierce and determination in his eyes. Danielson’s expression shifts from surprise to intensity, as he prepares to face off against his formal rival from the independents!
Arn Anderson: We’re witnessing two of the toughest competitors in the world, going head to head in what promises to be an absolute barn burner!
Kevin Kelly: That’s right, Arn. Nobody saw this coming, especially not Bryan Danielson! The energy inside this arena right now is absolutely electric!
The bell rings, signaling the start of the match, and both men waste no time locking up in a fierce battle of strength and skill. Danielson and Joe exchange stiff strikes, each blow echoing throughout the arena as the crowd roars in approval.
Arn Anderson: Look at the intensity on display here, Kevin. These two aren’t holding anything back!
Kevin Kelly: Absolutely, Arn. Both men know what’s at stake tonight, and they’re giving it everything they’ve got. This is what professional wrestling is all about!
As the match progresses, the physical toll becomes evident, with both Danielson and Joe sporting cuts and bruises from the hard-hitting action. Yet, they press on, each refusing to give an inch to their opponent.
Arn Anderson: These two are warriors, Kevin. They’re leaving it all in the ring tonight.
Kevin Kelly: That’s for sure, Arn. This is a testament to the passion and dedication of both Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe. They’re putting on a strong style clinic here tonight!
In the closing moments of the match, Danielson and Joe exchange a flurry of near falls, each man coming agonizingly close to victory. Joe sets Danielson on his shoulders, looking for the Muscle Buster. Danielson squirms, and hits the ropes with force. He bounces back and delivers a skull-crushing Busaiku Knee that renders Joe unconscious. Danielson secures the win, much to the delight of the crowd in Glendale.
Kevin Kelly: What a match! Bryan Danielson pulls off the victory in an absolute war with Samoa Joe!
Arn Anderson: Both men gave it their all, and Joe heads back to the WWE/NXT brand with the loss, but he absolutely deserves to hold his head high. For my money, that was one of the best showings of his professional career thus far!
As Danielson celebrates his hard-fought victory, the crowd erupts in applause, recognizing the incredible effort put forth by both competitors. With momentum on his side, Danielson now sets his sights on next week’s AEW World Title match with AJ Styles, ready to prove that he is truly deserving of championship gold.
Winner: ‘The American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson (4-0)
Match Time: 16:29
SEGMENT TWO
Backstage, in the bustling corridors of the Desert Diamond Arena, we see MJF pacing with his phone pressed against his ear, engaged in a conversation with Logan Paul. Wardlow looms in the background, his expression unreadable as he listens to MJF’s conversation.
MJF: Yeah, sure Logan, we can do that. I’ll record a cameo video for the little guy. This Lenny kid sounds like he sure could use the pick-me-up. Just make sure he knows it’s a one time deal, alright? I don’t typically do Make A Wish, but if it means so much to you, I’ll happily send a few words of encouragement his way.
As MJF hangs up, he turns his attention to Wardlow, his tone shifting slightly.
MJF: Look, Wardlow… about Genesis. I know I lost my cool, and I shouldn’t have spat in your face. I was frustrated, okay? Losing the TV title to Cody Rhodes was a bitter pill to swallow.
MJF pauses, collecting his thoughts before continuing. Wardlow’s expression remains unchanged, impossible to read.
MJF: But that’s in the past now. I’m over it. And I’ve got bigger things on my mind, like becoming the AEW World Heavyweight Champion. And what better place to do it than in front of my hometown crowd at New Horizons on Easter Sunday?
MJF gestures towards Wardlow, a slight hint of contrition in his voice.
MJF: I know I’ve been asking a lot of you lately… perhaps too much. That’s why I’ve decided to hire another bodyguard. Now, Wardlow, I don’t want you to think of this as a demotion. I want you to think of this as the team expanding, and I want you to teach him the ropes.
The camera pans, revealing MJF’s newest employee, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner! Steiner is massive, his muscles larger than ever as the wall of a man stands behind MJF, his gaze catching Wardlow’s. The tension between the two is thick, and they engage in a brief stare down before MJF interjects.
MJF: Now, now, boys. Let’s not make this awkward. We’re all on the same team here.
He turns to face both Steiner and Wardlow, his tone firm.
MJF: I’m doing everything in my power to make sure I win the World Championship, and I need both of you to put your pride aside and get on board. This decision isn’t up for debate. We’re a unit now, and we’re going to dominate the competition.
With that, MJF strides off, leaving Wardlow and Steiner to come to terms with their new dynamic, the promise of glory and gold hanging in the air.
The camera cuts to Paul Heyman, who is in center-frame, his eyes fixed directly into the camera looking out to the televised audience. A look of concern is etched across his face.
Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate for the most dominant force in the history of professional wrestling, Brock Lesnar.
Heyman takes a moment to gather his thoughts, his expression grave
Paul Heyman: Three weeks ago, at Genesis, my client Brock Lesnar was abducted by the Brothers of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker. Since that night, Brock Lesnar has been missing in action. And I stand here tonight, not as the advocate, but as a friend… a confidant… and a man who is deeply concerned for the well-being of his client.
Heyman pauses, his voice trembling with emotion.
Paul Heyman: Brock, if you can hear me, if you’re out there somewhere watching this, I beg of you, please find your way back to me. Find your way back to the advocate who has stood by your side through thick and thin. Find your way back so we can accomplish the goals that bonded us in the first place.
Heyman’s voice cracks slightly as he continues.
Paul Heyman: We had plans, Brock. Plans to conquer this industry like no one has ever done before. Plans to dominate every single opponent who dared to step into the ring with you. Plans to cement your legacy as the greatest of all time. But none of that can happen if you’re not here.
He takes a deep breath, his eyes filled with a mixture of hope and despair.
Paul Heyman: So please, Brock, if you’re out there, if you can hear me, come back. Come back to the advocate who believes in you more than anyone else in this world. Come back, so we can pick up where we left off and make history together once again.
With that heartfelt plea, Heyman’s words hang heavy in the air as he awaits any sign of his missing client, hoping against hope that Brock Lesnar will find his way back to him.
At ringside, Arn Anderson says he’s known Paul Heyman for a very long time, and he can’t remember a time where the normally cunning and manipulative Heyman appeared so desperate. He wishes Heyman well in his continued search for Brock Lesnar as they switch gears to discuss our upcoming tag team match. Kelly notes that Umaga and Yokozuna, the original team of the Bloodline, have taken a backseat since the Usos arrived, but they’re not to be underestimated as they’re former EWA and PWI Tag Champs. Anderson says Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page have their work cut out for them, and that Yokozuna and Umaga are looking to rebuild the Bloodline’s momentum as Yokozuna heads into his first singles title match in decades as he squares off against the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes next week for the Television Championship.
Match #2 | Tag Team Exhibition
The Samoan Connection (Yokozuna & Umaga) (0-0) vs. Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page (0-0)
As both teams make their introductions, Kevin Kelly and Arn Anderson discuss the Bloodline’s recent interactions with Hulk Hogan, The Outsiders, Randy Savage, and Matt Riddle. Kelly says the Samoan Connection are looking to help the group rebound here tonight, but to do so they’ll have to be fixated on the task at hand and will have to put everything else to the side.
Kevin Kelly: Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega, two of the brightest stars in AEW, teaming up for the first time ever to take on the formidable duo of Umaga and Yokozuna!
Arn Anderson: That’s right, Kevin. Page and Omega have their sights set on the AEW World Tag Team Championship, and a victory here tonight would certainly put them in the conversation.
The bell rings, and the match is underway, with Page and Omega wasting no time taking the fight to their larger opponents. Despite their size disadvantage, the duo uses their speed and agility to gain the upper hand early on.
Kevin Kelly: Page and Omega showing some impressive teamwork here, isolating Umaga in the corner and keeping him on the defensive!
Arn Anderson: We saw a preview of what these two are capable of in the 6-Man Crimson Car Match at Genesis, and they’ve definitely got unlimited potential. But I wouldn’t count out the power of Umaga and Yokozuna, these two behemoths are as dangerous as they come!
As the match progresses, Umaga and Yokozuna begin to assert their dominance, using their sheer strength to overpower Page and Omega. The tide of the match starts to turn in their favor as the two work in tandem, much to the dismay of the crowd.
Kevin Kelly: Umaga and Yokozuna starting to take control now, wearing down Page and Omega with their power game.
Arn Anderson: Page and Omega need to dig deep here if they want to turn things around and make a statement in their debut as a tag team.
Suddenly, the titantron again lights up, capturing the attention of everyone in the arena. The footage shows Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Randy Savage ambushing Roman Reigns and the Usos, armed with steel chairs and catching the Bloodline off guard!
Kevin Kelly: Wait a minute, what’s going on backstage?
Arn Anderson: It looks as if the Bloodline is under assault at the hands of Nash, Hall, and Savage!
Seeing his family in trouble, Yokozuna leaves the ring and rushes backstage to help, leaving Umaga alone in the ring with Page and Omega. With the odds suddenly shifted in their favor, Page and Omega seize the opportunity to mount a comeback.
Kevin Kelly: Yokozuna is leaving the match to go help his family backstage! That leaves Umaga all alone with Page and Omega!
Arn Anderson: This could be the opening Page and Omega need to pull off the upset!
With the crowd on their feet, Page and Omega unleash a flurry of offense, culminating in Omega hitting the V-Trigger followed by Page connecting with the Buckshot Lariat to secure the victory!
Kevin Kelly: They did it! Page and Omega pick up the win in their first match as a tag team!
Arn Anderson: What a statement victory for Page and Omega, proving that they deserve a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship!
Winners: Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page
Match Time: 10:10
As Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega exit the ring, their victory celebration in full swing, the camera zooms in on Umaga, who stands alone in the center of the squared circle, visibly frustrated from the loss. His breathing heavy, his temper begins to mount.
Kevin Kelly: Uh oh, it looks like Umaga is not taking this loss too well, Arn.
Arn Anderson: Do you blame him, Kevin? Losing a match like this can really take a toll on a competitor’s psyche, and his partner completely abandoned him, even if it was for cause.
Suddenly, from high above the ring, red and yellow paint begins to rain down, splattering all over Umaga from head to toe! The camera pans up to reveal Hulk Hogan and Matt Riddle, perched on a platform, their mischievous grins evident even from a distance.
Kevin Kelly: What in the world? It’s Hulk Hogan and Matt Riddle, causing chaos from above!
As the paint continues to rain down on Umaga, the camera captures Riddle passing a joint to the Hulkster, who eagerly takes a puff. The duo shares a laugh as they watch their handiwork unfold below.
Arn Anderson: Looks like they’re up to some high jinks, Kevin. Literally!
Kevin Kelly: Well, I guess when you’re Hulk Hogan and Matt Riddle, you can get away with just about anything!
Arn Anderson: Ain’t that the truth, Kevin. Looks like they’re enjoying themselves up there!
Back in the ring, Umaga’s frustration reaches a boiling point as he struggles to wipe the paint from his face and body. Meanwhile, Hogan and Riddle continue to enjoy their elevated vantage point, sharing laughs and soaking in the chaos they’ve caused.
Kevin Kelly: What a wild scene here on Dynamite, folks! You never know what to expect when Hulk Hogan and Matt Riddle are in the building!
As the broadcast booth chuckles at the absurdity of the situation, the camera captures the surreal sight of Hogan and Riddle, high above the ring, enjoying their high above the squared circle.
SEGMENT THREE
In the locker room of the AEW Knockouts Champion, Sasha Banks stands before the mirror, admiring her championship belt with a satisfied grin. Suddenly, the door swings open, and Ronda Rousey strides in with determination etched on her face. Banks turns to face her, a hint of defiance in her eyes.
Ronda Rousey: Sasha Banks, you can’t keep running from me. I’m here to remind you that I am the rightful number one contender for that Knockouts Championship, the belt that I never actually lost!
Rousey closes in on Banks, her intensity palpable, but before she can make a move, a shadow falls over them.
Banks looks over her shoulder to see the imposing figure of Chyna standing behind Rousey, her presence commanding attention.
Sasha Banks: Looks like you’ve got a lot of nerve showing up here, Ronda. But you’ve got it all wrong. You don’t get to demand a title shot, you earn it.
As Rousey prepares to confront Banks, Chyna suddenly springs into action, grabbing Rousey from behind and tossing her headfirst into a nearby locker with incredible force! The impact reverberates through the room, leaving Rousey dazed and blood pooling from her head. The camera pans to the locker, which has a skull-shaped dent in it from Rousey’s head.
Rousey slumps to the ground, clutching her head in agony, as Banks and Chyna stand over her victorious.
Sasha Banks: If you wanted a title shot, all you had to do was ask, Ronda. But now, thanks to your little outburst, you’ve just made things a whole lot easier for me.
With a smirk, Banks turns and walks away, leaving Rousey nursing her injuries on the ground, as Chyna looms over her, a silent guardian protecting the champion.
Back at ringside, as the announcers attempt to discuss what just happened, they’re cut off by the sounds of MIA’s Paper Planes, and Miss Athena Star appears at the top of the stage, her expression firm and serious. The crowd welcomes Star with a huge ovation as she makes her way to the ring, grabbing the microphone from ring announcer Jane Mouse as she steps through the ropes.
Miss Athena Star: Last week, Trish Stratus and I were in the middle of a hellacious battle when we got interrupted. I issued an Open Challenge, but instead of accepting it, my old foe Living Dead Girl preferred to play mind games. Well, Living Dead Girl, I received your message loud and clear when you put me through that broadcast booth with a tombstone piledriver. But let me make myself perfectly clear: One little setback isn’t going to stop me from reaching my goals!
She pauses, her gaze unwavering as she addresses the audience.
Miss Athena Star: Living Dead Girl and I have quite the history, going all the way back to our days in the UWF in the early 2000s. And ever since then, I’ve been itching to step into the ring with her. So, Living Dead Girl, I’m calling you out! I want you to come out here and face me!
The arena falls silent as they await Living Dead Girl’s response. Suddenly, her eerie music fills the arena, but she doesn’t make an appearance. Suddenly, fog begins to spill out from under the ring, as Athena reacts with a panicked expression. Claps of thunder reverberate throughout the arena, sending shivers down the spines of those in attendance.
Suddenly, the ring begins to violently rumble, lifting on all four sides at different intervals, as Athena struggles to keep her footing. A lightening bolt strikes the titantron from the top of the arena, and the ring suddenly stops shaking as the words “NEXT WEEK” appear on the screen! The fog continues to envelop the ringside area, as Star is barely visible inside the ring.
The scene fades to black, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the saga between Miss Athena Star and Living Dead Girl, the match apparently official for Dragon’s Fury next week!
Back from a quick commercial break, the remnants of the fog dissipates and Anderson and Kelly discuss what we just saw. Kelly says Living Dead Girl has clearly gotten into the head of Miss Athena Star, and next week, the retirement tour could come to an abrupt halt at Dragon’s Fury!
Match #3 | Exhibition Match
Bayley (0-1) vs. Bianca Belair (0-0)
The capacity crowd is on their feet as Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring, her confidence radiating as she prepares for her in-ring debut. Across from her stands Bayley, a determined look on her face as she aims to rebound from her recent setback.
Arn Anderson: This is the first opportunity we’ve gotten to see what Belair can do in that ring, and we’ve only seen her on AEW programming one time since the summer draft when she introduced herself to Athena Star.
Kevin Kelly: Both of these Knockouts are looking to make a statement and climb the ranks in this competitive division, and this is sure to be an exciting matchup!
The bell sounds and the two tie up. The action is fast-paced from the get-go, with Belair and Bayley exchanging holds and counters in a display of technical prowess.
Kevin Kelly: This is a crucial match for both competitors, as they look to establish themselves as top contenders in the Knockouts Division.
As the match progresses, the back-and-forth nature of the contest becomes evident, with neither Belair nor Bayley able to gain a clear advantage. The crowd is on the edge of their seats as they witness a clinic in professional wrestling.
Bayley takes control, hitting the Bayley to Belly for a two-count. She argues with Knockouts official Kenzie, trying to convince her that she got the three and that Kenzie’s count was slow. As Bayley turns around to continue her assault on Belair, Bianca kips up and charges after her, taking her down with a running shoulder tackle. Bianca dusts herself off as she motions for Bayley to come get some. Bayley charges after Belair, who uses the turnbuckle to springboard into a backflip. She lands on her feet and catches Bayley with a one legged dropkick!
Arn Anderson: Look at the agility of the EST, Bianca Belair! I know Sasha Banks has her hands full with the Baddest Woman on the Planet, but if I’m the Champion I’m not sleeping on the EST!
Bayley rebounds, and catches Belair off guard with a running knee strike. The force sends her to the mat, and Bayley follows up with her patented sliding clothesline. She again attempts the cover, but Belair again kicks out at two. Back to their feet, Bayley charges at Belair, flipping her over into a sunset powerbomb. Bayley climbs to the top rope, perhaps looking for an elbow drop. Instead, Belair again kips up and charges after her, catching her across the midsection with a whip of her hair!
Kevin Kelly: Bianca Belair’s offense is, for lack of a better word, unique? I can’t recall anyone else using their hair as a weapon!
With Bayley hunched over on the top rope writhing in pain, Belair approaches and hoists her up into a suplex position. She holds Bayley upside down for an solid 15 seconds, the blood rushing to her head before she follows up with the snap suplex!
Arn Anderson: Pound for pound, Belair is one of the strongest women in the Knockouts Division. How great is it that we’re finally getting the chance to see what she can offer?
Kevin Kelly: As much as I hate to give him any sort of credit, Sami Zayn has promised we’re going to see more and more of the roster, and thus far he’s delivered!
Belair hoists Bayley up and drills her to the mat with the chicken wing into a facebuster! This time, it’s Belair who covers, and whose face expresses disbelief as Bayley kicks out at two!
Arn Anderson: What’s it going to take to put either of these women down for three??
As both woman again stumble to their feet, Belair charges with a spear. Bayley sidesteps it, catching Belair with the Roseplant! Belair’s face bounces off the canvass and Bayley covers!
Kevin Kelly: 1…. 2…. Thre-
Belair kicks out! The crowd has worked itself into a frenzy, now solidly behind Belair. Bayley is screaming at the referee in frustration, telling her to go back to kindergarten to learn how to count to three. Bayley turns to face Belair, who catches her by surprise as she hoists her up in the center of the ring…
Kevin Kelly: KOD! KOD!
With the Kiss of Death, Belair covers Bayley, as the ref’s hand slaps the mat three times, and Belair emerges victorious!
Winner: Bianca Belair
Match Time: 15:04
As Belair’s hand is raised in victory, Arn Anderson says that Belair has just put the entirety of the Knockouts Division on notice!
SEGMENT FOUR
Back at ringside, Anderson and Kelly say we’ve seen a wild night of action tonight, and things are about to culminate with our main event match as AEW World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles is set to face the debuting Logan Paul, who was Danielson’s hand chosen opponent for Styles in the Dealer’s Choice series.
Match # 4 | Dealer’s Choice
‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles (3-0) vs. ‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul
The AEW World Heavyweight Champion is out first, with the capacity crowd in Glendale solidly in his corner. Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly discuss Danielson’s victory earlier tonight over the opponent handpicked by Styles, in which we saw the shocking arrival of Samoa Joe. Ultimately, however, the American Dragon overcame the challenge put up by the Murrey Entertainment superstar, and now Styles looks to do the same against Logan Paul.
Arn Anderson: As we await the arrival of Logan Paul, it’s worth noting that since arriving on scene, this man has had his hands in just about everything! He’s formed an unlikely friendship with the Generational Talent MJF, and Logan even managed to get MJF a world title shot come New Horizons!
Kevin Kelly: There’s no denying that MJF is heading into Easter Sunday with a lot of promise and momentum, and that the attention that he’s received has rubbed the Dragon the wrong way. Danielson thinks it’s his time next week at Dragon’s Fury, but before Danielson or Styles can worry about MJF, they’ve first got to deal with one another.
As Jane Mouse announces Logan Paul, the camera pans to the entrance ramp, anticipating the in-ring rebut of the Social Media Megastar. However, after a few moments, the announcers express concern as Paul is nowhere to be found.
Arn Anderson: This is highly unusual, Kevin. Logan Paul’s debut is a big deal, and he’s nowhere to be found. What’s going on?
Just as confusion begins to set in, a commotion erupts in the arena as the crowd’s attention is drawn upwards. The camera pans up to reveal Logan Paul, high above the arena, making a grand entrance on a zipline! His arms outstretched, a smirk across his face as he shouts taunts and discouraging remarks at the audience and AJ Styles below.
Kevin Kelly: There he is! Logan Paul making a grand entrance like no other, descending on a zipline from high above the arena!
Arn Anderson: You’ve got to give it to him, Kevin. Logan Paul knows how to make an entrance, that’s for sure!
As Logan Paul makes his way down the zipline, the crowd reacts with a mixture of awe and disbelief. Some cheer at the spectacle, while others boo at his arrogant display. Meanwhile, AJ Styles watches with a look of determination, unfazed by Logan’s theatrics.
Kevin Kelly: I don’t deny that the man knows how to make an entrance, but for two months now we’ve listened to Logan Paul talk crap. Will he be able to back up his words in the ring against AJ Styles?
Arn Anderson: That’s the million-dollar question, Kevin. Logan Paul may have made a flashy entrance, but it’s what happens in that ring that really matters.
Logan finally reaches the ring and begins to dismount the zipline. As he dismounts it, AJ Styles charges after him, determined to start the match on his own terms. The bell sounds, signaling the official start of their encounter. Styles controls the pace of the match in the opening minutes, using his experience and technical prowess to keep Paul on the defensive. However, to the surprise of everyone in attendance, Logan Paul begins to show flashes of impressive offense, demonstrating a level of skill and agility that belies his relative inexperience in the ring. Styles charges after Logan, and is met with a back elbow to the face. The champion stumbles, as Logan follows up with a waist lock takedown!
Kevin Kelly: I can’t believe what I’m seeing, Arn! Logan Paul is holding his own against the AEW World Heavyweight Champion!
AJ is quick to his feet, and whips Paul into the corner. He charges after him with a flying corner clothesline, but Paul counters with a boot to the face. He follows up with body blows to the midsection of the champion, before hoisting Styles high above his head, for a bench-press gorilla press slam!
Arn Anderson: He may be new to the ring, Kevin, but Logan Paul is showing us that he’s no pushover. He’s got some serious potential!
Paul follows it up with a split legged leg drop, flexing as he tries to pin Styles. The ref drops to the mat for the count, but Styles has a shoulder up before the official even gets to one.
Both men are back to their feet and Paul sends styles into the ropes. Styles bounces back, and Paul catches him with a tilt-a-whirl that Styles somehow manages to reverse into a Japanese arm drag! Styles follows up with a snap suplex. Logan tries to quickly sit up, but Styles catches him with the sliding forearm splash!
Kevin Kelly: How do you prepare for the offense of AJ Styles? Every time I think I’ve figured out what he’s going to do next, he comes from nowhere with new moves. If you’re new to the game, how do you even begin to prepare?
Styles sends Logan into the corner and charges after him once more. Logan quickly dodges, stepping out to the apron. He grabs AJ by the neck, catching him with an apron hanging neckbreaker!
Arn Anderson: Talk about innovative offenses! What a counter by the newcomer!
Logan gets back into the ring, and climbs to the second rope. As AJ stumbles to his feet, Logan launches himself, catching Stylers with the Block Buster! He follows it up with the alley-oop powerbomb, sending Styles flying behind him face first into the canvass. Logan covers Styles with one foot, as he does a Hogan-esque pose as he flexes his muslces.
Kevin Kelly: Bryan Danielson may have known what he was doing when he picked Logan Paul for this match.
Arn Anderson: I rolled my eyes when this kid said he wasn’t here to be the next Dragonfly, but the first Logan Paul, but I’m starting to see why he’s been so arrogant! This man is a natural in the ring, and that doesn’t happen often!
Paul’s arrogance perhaps got the better of him, as AJ kicks out at two. Paul sends AJ over the top rope and onto the outside. He wastes little time in hitting the ropes, diving over them and catching Styles with the Tope Con Hilo! Paul rolls through and is back on his feet, taking a moment to show off for the audience, who react with boos. He sends Styles back to the ring, and climbs to the top rope. He launches himself again, this time looking for the frog splash! Instead, Styles shows his ring awareness, lifting his knees and knocking the wind out of Paul.
Kevin Kelly: What a tremendous main event tonight on Dynamite!
With that counter, the momentum has shifted to AJ Styles, who follows up with a one legged enziguri! He hoists Paul up and drops him with the pump handled gut buster! Paul stumbles back to his feet, only to drop down to the mat again as AJ connects with the pele kick!
As the tension in the arena mounts, AJ Styles sees an opening and goes for his signature move, the Phenomenal Forearm. Just as he’s about to connect, the arena erupts in chaos as Bryan Danielson emerges from the crowd, snatching Styles’s AEW World Heavyweight Championship from the timekeeper’s area!
Kevin Kelly: What’s he doing out here? We’re in the middle of an absolute all-time battle, and Danielson has just snatched the AEW World Championship!
Styles rushes out of the ring to retrieve his belt, but before he can confront Danielson, the two former friends come face to face. Danielson attempts to strike Styles with the belt, but Styles narrowly dodges the attack, countering with a devastating Styles Clash on the unforgiving arena floor!
Kevin Kelly: Oh my god! Styles just took out Danielson with the Styles Clash on the outside!
Arn Anderson: This situation is spiraling out of control! What a chaotic night here in All Elite Wrestling!
Styles rolls back into the ring, his attention still fixated on Danielson. With Styles momentarily distracted, Logan Paul capitalizes, surprising the world as he rolls up the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, scoring a clean pinfall victory! The crowd erupts in shock and disbelief as the referee’s hand slaps the mat for the three count!
Kevin Kelly: I don’t believe it! Logan Paul has pinned the AEW World Heavyweight Champion!
As Paul’s music sounds, the cocky newcomer rolls out of ring and gets the hell of dodge, as AJ Styles is left in disbelief! Security rushes to Danielson and helps him to the back.
Winner: Logan Paul (1-0)
Match Time: 31:50
Arn Anderson: I think that about does it for us, folks, thank you so much for…
Anderson is cut off as “Voices” by Disturbed hits and the arena is in a frenzy. Master Splinter appears, his head bandaged up from last week’s assault at the hands of Menotaur and a limp in his step. Splinter quickly grabs a microphone, demanding his music be shut off.
Master Splinter: Shoutout to the Harlem Turtles and Authors of Pain for helping us take over tonight. I’m sorry to keep everyone waiting for so long, because I’ve got a story to tell. A story that the world NEEDS to hear. If you thought the dementia was bad enough, strap in. Because while it’s a crime what Sami Zayn has been doing, using Benny for his own personal gain and power, and taking advantage of him, what I’ve discovered is so much more sickening. And the worst part about it is, Benny will likely never be held accountable for what he’s done due to his illness!
Splinter paces around the ring, the anticipation to the reveal building slowly.
Splinter: In searching for Megan, I uncovered something. A dark secret that has been buried for over two decades. But ya know, I’m not the one that should tell this story — I’m gonna invite to the ring the true players in this tale.
Suddenly, the familiar sounds of Blondie’s “Dreaming” plays, and the crowd is going wild as Benny Mouse’s estranged ex-wife Molly appears, with the founder of the HCW, John Brown holding her hand! Kevin Kelly exclaims that we’ve not seen this duo since Benny Mouse chased them off three years ago at No Boundaries!
Before they even get all the way to the ring, however, the crowd again pops as Saguna appears!!! The three walk to the ring, where they join Splinter. Splinter mouths the words “tell them the truth” to Saguna, as he hands him the microphone.
Saguna takes a deep breath, as he holds the microphone to his lips…
Saguna: To tell you all this story, we need to take a trip backwards. To the time of the Ultimate Wrestling Federation, and to Benny and Molly’s affair that later resulted in their marriage and the end of my marriage with Molly. It was then, as 2002 turned to 2003, that we learned that Molly was pregnant with Megan. However, it was later revealed on air that Megan Mouse wasn’t Benny’s biological daughter, and that I was her father.
Saguna’s head drops, the crowd hanging on his every word as Benny’s ex-wife Molly stands hand in hand with John Brown. All eyes are on Saguna as he pushes himself to continue.
Saguna: After Benny Mouse defeated me and won custody of Megan, I was ready to fight for my rights as her father. I never wanted to abandon her, and I never wanted to leave her alone with Benny. Even before this illness, Benny Mouse was unstable, chaotic, and dangerous. Especially for a child. As the UWF ended in 2005, and Benny disappeared into the shadows of the wrestling world, I demanded a second paternity test. I was ready to take this to court, and to win visitation rights so I could be a part of Megan’s life, as any father would want to do. With the absence of the television cameras, I thought this was a good move. No longer would our lives be fodder for Benny’s quest for ratings dominance, and instead, we could have a chance to lead a normal life as blended family.
Splinter compassionately places his hand on Saguna’s shoulder, encouraging him to continue.
Saguna: The results of that second paternity test were, to say the least, absolutely shocking. I expected the results to come back as the first set did, so I could have some leverage with the legal system. But to my surprise and to my horror, the results revealed that Benny Mouse was Megan’s biological father all along!!! I immediately called Benny, and that’s when I learned the truth. He manipulated the results of the original paternity test to fuel the on-screen drama between me and him. He told me I wasn’t good enough of an actor to do it any other way, and that it had to feel real. He promised me that we would tell Megan the truth as soon as she was old enough to understand… but as that time came, Benny Mouse sued me. I almost lost everything, and the only way to continue with my life’s savings would be to carry on with this lie that I was Megan’s biological father.
Saguna: This ruined my relationships, with Molly, with Megan… with my friends, and my family. They all saw me as a deadbeat, and I legally couldn’t say or do anything to defend myself! I was forced to sign strict nondisclosure agreements, and was forced to carry this secret to my grave. Hell, no one knew, not even Megan’s own mother Molly!
Tears stream down Saguna’s face, as he is overcome with shame and grief for his part in Benny’s big lie.
Splinter: You might be asking yourself, why would Benny Mouse raise Megan as his own step daughter, while pretending her father was someone else entirely? On her quest to find Benny last Summer, Megan learned the truth. She was heartbroken, and she had a mental breakdown that resulted in Benny and Sami having her institutionalized. She didn’t understand why Benny would go through such lengths to hide her true paternity, but I understood.
Splinter: You see, Benny used this as a wedge, and he used it to keep Megan compliant. Of course she’d go along with whatever insanity he had to offer, because after all, she was always trying to win the affections of a man she thought stepped up to raise her as his own! He emotionally abused this child, this poor young woman, all to keep control over her!
The audience remains quiet, holding on to every passing word.
Splinter: And that’s why I had to tell the world. The fans needed to know. The board of directors need to know! The rest of her family need to know. The entire industry needs to know the lengths that Benny Mouse went through just to manipulate and control his own flesh and blood. Ask yourself, if Benny was willing to do that to his OWN DAUGHTER, what will he do to anyone else who crosses him? That is why I’ve asked Molly, John Brown, and Saguna to be here with me for this… because as past-interim chairs of BWM Inc., a role that myself, Molly, and John Brown have all filled at one point or another, we are officially demanding that the current board of directors launch an internal investigation to remove this unstable and deeply disturbed man from power once and for all!
As Splinter concludes, the BWM Inc. copyright logo appears, and Dynamite slowly fades off the air, the shocked silence washing over every single person in Glendale!
