Commentary: Pat McAfee & SmackDown GM Vince McMahon

The show kicks off with a loud crowd and Pat McAfee immediately hyped the energy to another level. As the camera sweeps across the arena, Pat announces:

“Ladies and gentlemen… at the END of tonight, wrestling HISTORY will be made! A major announcement is coming from Mr. Murrey himself!”

The crowd erupts at the tease!

Moments later, Seth “Freakin’” Rollins makes his entrance, dripping swagger as always. What shocks everyone is that Vince McMahon stands up from the commentary desk as Rollins approaches ringside. In a rare moment of unity, Vince extends his hand—Rollins accepts.

Pat reacts in disbelief:

“WHAT?! Vince and Rollins… shaking hands?! These two had a falling out! Look at this—apparently bygones really are bygones!”

With that unexpected show of respect, the bell rings, and out comes “Main Event” Jey Uso, laser-focused and ready to prove himself.

Opening Match 💥

Seth Rollins vs. Jey Uso

The two start cautiously, each feeling out the other. Rollins takes early control with crisp chain wrestling, but Jey fires back with stiff strikes and a massive Samoan drop that nearly steals it early.

Midway through the match:

Jey hits a running hip attack in the corner.

Rollins counters a second attempt with a superkick.

A frantic sequence of reversals leads to Rollins nailing a Sling Blade and a diving knee for a near fall.

Pat shouts:

“Both these dudes are running on FREAKIN’ fumes—but neither wants to give an inch!”

Jey mounts a late-match rally, connecting with two superkicks and setting up for the Uso Splash. He leaps—Rollins rolls away at the last split-second.

Seth strikes instantly with the Stomp, but Jey somehow kicks out at two, sending the arena into shock.

Vince calmly growls through commentary:

 “He should’ve stayed down.”

Rollins, now smirking, lines up a second Stomp, hits it clean, and finally gets the three-count.

Winner: Seth “Freakin’” Rollins

Rollins celebrates on the ropes as the crowd sings his theme. Vince nods approvingly from the commentary desk, fully endorsing the alliance between him and Seth.

Pat wraps up:

“What a way to start SmackDown—and if THIS is the opener, imagine what’s coming later tonight when Mr. Murrey makes that massive announcement! Seth is the former ULW Champion and may be well on his way to dethrone The Rock at Survivor Series!”

VIDEO SEGMENT: “Roots of a champion.” 💥

[Soft orchestral music begins. Fade in from black.]

[Shot: A quiet street in Hayward, California. Early morning light. The camera slowly approaches a modest single-story home.]

Narrator (Voiceover):

“Every legend has an origin story… And for the WWE Champion, it began right here.”

[Cut to: The front door opens. The Rock steps out wearing casual clothes—jeans, a black tee, sunglasses resting on his head. He looks around with a small smile of nostalgia.]

The Rock:

“Welcome to where it all started. The foundation. The grind. The struggle. This… right here… is home.”

[Cut to shots inside the house—old photos on the wall: Rocky Johnson, Peter Maivia, a young Dwayne in oversized glasses.]

The Rock (Voiceover):

“I grew up in the business. Before the lights, before the movie sets, before the millions—this was life. I didn’t watch wrestling… I lived it.”

[Cut: The Rock stands in what used to be his childhood bedroom, now empty.]

The Rock:

“In this room, I learned what it meant to dream big. I didn’t have much. But I had passion. I had drive. And I had the examples of two giants—my father Rocky Johnson, and my grandfather, the High Chief, Peter Maivia.”

[Old wrestling footage flashes: Rocky Johnson’s quick footwork… Peter Maivia’s intense stare.]

Narrator (Voiceover):

“From their legacy… a new one emerged.”

[Cut: The Rock walks down the hallway, touching framed photos as he passes.]

The Rock:

“I watched them fight not just in the ring, but in life. Sacrifice. Sweat. Dedication. Those lessons stayed with me every step I’ve taken.”

[Cut to WWE clips: The Rock defeating Brock Lesnar… defeating Roman Reigns]

The Rock (Voiceover):

“Not everyone believed in me at first. And that’s fine. Because The Rock believed in The Rock.”

[Music swells. Footage becomes more intense.]

The Rock winning the WWE Championship.

The Rock vs. Big E.

The Rock vs Jey Uso.

The Rock holding the WWE Championship high.

Narrator (Voiceover):

“Moment by moment … challenge after challenge… the champion only grew stronger.”

[Cut back to the childhood home.]

The Rock sits on the front step.

The Rock:

“People ask me all the time—why push so hard? Why break records? Why become the longest-reigning  Champion of all time?”

[He looks directly into the lens.]

The Rock:

“Because the kid who grew up in this house… the kid who watched his heroes fight for respect… that kid refused to be anything less than the greatest.”

[Cut: Montage of Rock’s recent reign—victories, stare-downs, title defenses, crowds roaring.]

The Rock (Voiceover):

“This championship isn’t just gold. It’s my family’s legacy. It’s my promise. It’s my responsibility.”

[The Rock rises from the step, looking back at the house one last time.]

The Rock:

“From this small home… to the main event … to becoming the longest-reigning Champion in history.”

[He turns toward the camera, confidence radiating.]

The Rock:

“And as long as The Rock is standing… no one—and The Rock means NO ONE—is taking this title from me.”

[Cut to black. The Brahma Bull logo burns onto the screen.]

Narrator (Voiceover):

“The People’s Champion. The Record-Breaker. The Rock.”

Here is a full, TV-style mid-air card match write-up of Dexter Lumis defending the United States Championship against Sheamus—with the follow-up announcement involving HBP and NXT:

United States Championship 💥

Dexter Lumis (c) vs. Sheamus

The broadcast returns from commercial with the camera panning over the arena, the energy electric as ring announcer Samantha Irvin calls it:

“This… is a United States Championship match!”

The Challenger Arrives

Sheamus makes his entrance first—pale, furious, and marching with the intensity of a man who wants a championship run. He slams his chest, roars, and storms to the ring.

Pat McAfee hypes him up on commentary:

“When Sheamus is in this kinda mood, it’s like fighting off a Celtic avalanche!”

The Champion Appears

The lights suddenly dim.

A single spotlight hits the stage.

Dexter Lumis appears—expression blank, championship around his waist, walking like a silent specter. He slides into the ring without breaking eye contact with Sheamus.

Vince McMahon, leaning forward on commentary, mutters:

“I don’t trust that man… but he gets results.”

Pat: “I don’t trust your mustache”

Vince: “What?”

Pat: “I said I hate math.”

The referee holds up the United States Championship. The bell rings.

THE MATCH

Immediately, Sheamus charges in, overpowering Lumis with brute strength. He hammers Lumis with clubbing blows, sends him into the corner, and unleashes the Ten Beats of the Bodhrán, rattling the champion’s ribs.

But Lumis doesn’t fall.

He doesn’t flinch.

The crowd rumbles.

Sheamus looks stunned.

Lumis slowly reaches up…

…places a hand on Sheamus’ face…

…and stares directly into his soul.

Sheamus stumbles back, unsettled.

Pat yells:

“That is TERRIFYING. I don’t like it! I love it, but I don’t like it!”

Momentum Shifts

Lumis explodes with a spinebuster, then his eerie, methodical offense:

Throat thrust

Running bulldog

Silence Stare-down (Sheamus visibly shaken)

But Sheamus rallies, hitting a knee strike and a White Noise for a near fall.

The Celtic Warrior signals for the Brogue Kick. He charges—

—Lumis ducks under—

—Sheamus rebounds—

—Lumis catches him in mid-motion and locks in Silence, the chokehold!

Sheamus thrashes, trying to power out, but Lumis cinches it in deeper, face expressionless, unmoving.

Sheamus drops to one knee…

…then two…

…then collapses.

The referee calls for the bell.

Winner and STILL United States Champion:

Dexter Lumis

Lumis releases the hold only after the ref demands it three times. He retrieves his United States Championship and simply stares down at the fallen Sheamus before backing into the shadows and exiting through the crowd.

POST-MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

Back at commentary, Vince McMahon adjusts his headset with a smirk.

Vince McMahon:

“Well… next week on NXT, we’re going to find out who really wants it.

HBP will have to defeat Dexter Lumis—the same man who just choked out Sheamus—

if he wants another shot at the NXT North American Championship at Survivor Series against Ethan Page.

And trust me… Lumis won’t make it easy.”

Pat reacts loudly:

“OH BABY! HBP’s gotta slay a SILENT MONSTER if he wants back into title contention!”

The camera fades as the commentary team recaps Lumis’ dominance and teases next week’s high-stakes NXT showdown.

IN-RING SEGMENT 💥

[Back from commercial]

The arena lights dim, and a sudden electric guitar riff hits. The crowd pops as Jesse “The Body” Ventura storms onto the stage in a bomber jacket, sunglasses on, and a scowl that could cut steel.

Pat McAfee shouts from commentary:

“OH BOY! When The Body walks with that kinda purpose, somebody’s about to get verbally dissected, brother!”

Jesse marches straight toward the ring, no posing, no theatrics—pure fury. Once inside, he snatches a microphone.

Jesse Ventura:

“VINCE MCMAHON… GET YOURSELF UP HERE RIGHT NOW!”

The crowd roars.

Seconds pass.

The SmackDown GM’s leaves his commentaryseat.

Vince McMahon walks slowly, cautious but visibly annoyed. He enters the ring, fixing his suit jacket as if preparing for a boardroom meeting—not a confrontation with Jesse Ventura.

Jesse gets nose-to-nose with him.

Ventura Lets Loose

Jesse Ventura:

“You think I didn’t see you out here earlier, pal? Huh? Standing up, shaking Seth Rollins’ hand like you two are long-lost buddies? Vince—HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!”

The crowd gasps.

Vince raises a finger to speak, but Jesse cuts him off immediately.

Jesse Ventura:

“Seth Rollins screwed you, embarrassed you, mocked you—and now suddenly you’re best friends? You’re a GENERAL MANAGER! You’re supposed to lead, not crawl back to a man who stomped your guts out on national television!”

The crowd is chanting “JES-SE! JES-SE!”

Vince finally snaps back.

Vince McMahon:

“Now wait just a damn minute, Jesse—Rollins and I made a BUSINESS decision. Something you wouldn’t understand.”

Jesse steps even closer, poking a finger into Vince’s chest.

Jesse Ventura:

“Business decision? Buddy, the only decision you made… was showing the world you’ve gone SOFT.”

Pat from commentary:

“OHHHHH HE SAID IT!”

Vince Tries to Defend Himself

Vince raises both hands defensively.

Vince McMahon:

“Look, Jesse—let me explain. Rollins and I—”

But Ventura suddenly steps back…

Looks out to the crowd…

Then looks back at Vince.

JESSE VENTURA STRIKES

BAM!

Jesse fires off a stiff forearm right to Vince’s jaw!

Vince crumples instantly, dropping flat on his back as the arena explodes in shock.

Pat McAfee leaps out of his chair:

“JESSE JUST KNOCKED THE BOSS OUT COLD! THE BODY JUST LAID OUT VINCE MCMAHON!”

Ventura stands over Vince, breathing hard, pointing down at him.

Jesse Ventura:

“That’s for disgracing yourself… and disgracing this show! Your boy may win against The Rock at Survivor Series but he won’t be getting any help from me!”

Jesse tosses the mic down onto Vince’s chest and leaves the ring to a thunderous ovation.

Medical staff rush in as Vince lies motionless, the camera zooming in on Jesse walking up the ramp—no remorse, no hesitation.

“THE HISTORIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF MR. MURREY” 💥

[Arena darkens. A spotlight hits the stage. The crowd buzzes.]

Pat McAfee stands at commentary practically vibrating with excitement.

Pat: “THIS is it! All night long we’ve heard about it—and now the moment has arrived! Wrestling HISTORY… is about to change forever!”

The SmackDown theme dies out.

A new orchestral theme—grand, powerful—fills the arena.

Mr. Murrey steps onto the stage in a sharp suit as the crowd rises to its feet. He walks toward the ring with purpose, confidence, and a small smile like he knows something the entire world wants to hear.

The ring has been cleared, a podium set in the center with a WIN-branded cover draped over it.

Mr. Murrey enters the ring, takes the microphone, and waits as the cheers swell.

MR. MURREY SPEAKS

Mr. Murrey:

“Tonight… is the beginning of something that will define the future of professional wrestling.”

The crowd cheers.

“Tonight… the world learns what we have been building. Innovating. Negotiating. Crafting. Planning. Tonight… we take wrestling to a level it has never been before. First, let me do something that I should’ve done a long time ago. To all the fans, to the World of Wrestling, to Benny, to Splinter, to the Triad, to Camden Cross, to Mickey…I am sorry. All of you are amazing businessmen. You never deserved my disrespect.”

The entire arena chants: “MUR-REY! MUR-REY! MUR-REY!”

Pat McAfee on commentary:

“He’s got the EAR of the entire industry right now!”

ANNOUNCEMENT #1 — THE NETWORK

Mr. Murrey pulls the cloth off the podium, revealing a massive illuminated logo:

W.I.N. – Wrestling International Network

The crowd explodes.

Mr. Murrey:

“Ladies and gentlemen… I am proud to announce that the Wrestling International Network—WIN—will officially launch on January 1st, 2026!”

Fireworks blast from the stage.

Pat screams:

“THE INDUSTRY JUST GOT SHAKEN TO ITS CORE!”

ANNOUNCEMENT #2

Mr. Murrey:

“But that’s not all…”

He pauses. The arena goes silent.

“Tonight, I am pleased to announce that I have completed the successful purchase of World Wrestling Entertainment… WWE.”

The crowd gasps—then erupts.

“But we did NOT stop there.”

“Because I now own the rights to TNA and NWA as well!”

The arena ROARS like a stadium.

Pat loses his mind:

“HE BOUGHT THE WHOLE WRESTLING WORLD! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!”

ANNOUNCEMENT #3

Mr. Murrey raises a hand to settle the crowd.

Mr. Murrey:

“And I am THRILLED to announce that these incredible promotions—TNA and NWA—are set for a MASSIVE relaunch this coming January 2026 under the WIN banner.”

The titantron flashes graphics of TNA and NWA logos spinning into the WIN logo.

ANNOUNCEMENT #4

Mr. Murrey continues:

“WIN is not just a network. WIN is a universe. A federation of promotions united under one banner. And tonight, for the first time EVER, I reveal the complete list of WIN subsidiaries.”

He turns toward the titantron as the screen lights up with each name, one by one—

W.I.N. SUBSIDIARIES

WWE

TNA

NWA

HLW

BAWA

CWA

UWA North

LWF

WWF

Each logo flashes with pyro as the crowd reacts in shock.

Pat on commentary:

“THIS IS A WRESTLING MULTIVERSE! A WORLDWIDE EMPIRE!”

ANNOUNCEMENT #5

Mr. Murrey:

“And finally… WIN’s streaming service will launch with a complete video library from EVERY one of these promotions—past and present.”

“Every match.

Every superstar.

Every era.”

“All preserved. All united. All available… on Day One.”

The fans chant: “W-I-N! W-I-N! W-I-N!”

CLOSING LINE

Mr. Murrey stands tall, soaking in the moment.

Mr. Murrey:

“On January 1, 2026… the wrestling world evolves.

We don’t just make history…

We WIN.”

He drops the mic as the WIN logo floods the arena screens and fireworks blast from the stage.

SmackDown fades out with Pat McAfee yelling:

“WE’RE LIVING IN A NEW ERA, BABY! THE WIN ERA!”
