Opening Segment

The show opened with a group of excitable Chase U students gathered in a classroom-style backstage room. Balloons and streamers decorated the walls as Andre Chase and Duke Hudson welcomed the newest honorary member: HBP! Chase, grinning, handed HBP a red-and-black Chase U T-shirt and a swag bag full of university goodies. The crowd clapped and laughed as HBP tried on the shirt, clearly enjoying the moment.

But the mood quickly shifted.

The door slammed open, and in stormed Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, looking furious. The room fell silent.

Tony D: “You think this is funny, huh? We needed a driver last night at the hotel. You ghosted us… to play college cosplay?!”

Before HBP could answer, Stacks sucker-punched him, knocking him into a row of chairs. Tony D grabbed a steel trash can and smashed it over HBP’s head. The students scattered in terror. Chase and Hudson tried to intervene, but Tony pulled a pipe from under his jacket and cracked HBP across the ribs. Blood spattered the wall.

Tony D (to camera): “We asked Tommy Tight Lips if we could trust this guy and ya know what he said?”

Stacks: “What he say boss?”

Tony D:”Nothing ya numb skull but I shoulda known!”

Officials and security stormed the scene as HBP lay unconscious in his Chase U shirt, crimson staining the bright red fabric.

Match 1: A-Town Down Under vs. Lucha House Party

Participants:

A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)

Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Kalisto)

This fast-paced opener kicked off with high-flying antics from Lucha House Party, as Kalisto hit a beautiful springboard moonsault onto Waller. Theory, however, slowed the pace, grounding Metalik with a brutal backbreaker. Waller showcased his cocky athleticism with his rolling stunner, but Lucha House Party nearly stole the win with a surprise double 450 splash.

Finish:

Waller yanked Kalisto off the top rope mid-move, and Theory nailed the A-Town Down for the pin.

Winners: A-Town Down Under via pinfall

Vic Joseph: “Waller and Theory are dialed in tonight—this particular partnership might just run NXT!”

Segment: GM Shawn Michaels Makes a Major Announcement

From the office of NXT General Manager Shawn Michaels, a serious HBK looked into the camera.

Shawn Michaels:

“With the NXT North American Championship vacated, I won’t let this brand miss a step. Tonight, a new champion will be crowned in a high-stakes Triple Threat Match between:

Andre Chase,

Carmelo Hayes, and

Stacks Lorenzo.

The North American Title is one of the most prestigious championships in NXT, and it deserves to be worn by someone worthy.”

Match 2: Triple Threat for the Vacant NXT North American Championship

Carmelo Hayes vs. Andre Chase vs. Stacks Lorenzo

What a match! The energy in Houston hit the roof as these three gave it their all.

Chase came in fired up after the earlier attack on HBP, unloading early on Stacks with fists of fury. Carmelo showed his usual smooth agility, dodging strikes and chaining together precision offense—springboard leg drops, reverse DDTs, and a thunderous pump kick to Chase.

Stacks proved himself with a hard-hitting, street-style brawling approach, catching Hayes with a nasty spinebuster and nearly stealing a win with a roll-up on Chase.

Key Moments:

Hayes kicked out of Chase’s Chase U Bomb at 2.9.

Stacks hit a top-rope neckbreaker on both men in a crazy tower spot.

Carmelo reversed a powerbomb into Nothing But Net (springboard leg drop) onto Chase.

Finish:

With Chase dazed and Stacks knocked to the outside, Hayes hit Nothing But Net one more time on Chase and got the 1-2-3!

Winner & NEW NXT North American Champion: Carmelo Hayes

Booker T: “That boy Carmelo’s still HIM! Back on top, baby!”

Segment: Karrion Kross Backstage Interview

Backstage, NXT Champion Karrion Kross stood in the shadows with Scarlett beside him, her stare icy.

Kross:

“People ask why we haven’t seen Trick Williams. It’s simple. Trick isn’t tough. Trick isn’t being held back. Trick is a liar.

He lied to all of you. Said he was loyal. Said he was ready. But when it came time to stand tall—when the lights got hot—he never showed.

He used everyone. He used me. He used NXT. He’s a fraud wearing gold chains over a spine made of paper.

I am the NXT Champion because I don’t need to lie. I break people with truth… and violence.”

Scarlett: “And Trick… your time is up.”

Main Event: Ethan Page vs. Baron Corbin

Winner gets a title shot at Carmelo Hayes next week

This hard-hitting main event had a big-fight feel. Corbin tried to overwhelm Page early with his power game—slamming him into the barricades and hitting Deep Six on the floor.

Page rallied back with smart counters and resilience, dodging the End of Days twice and targeting Corbin’s knee. A loud “Let’s Go Ethan!” chant echoed through the 713 Music Hall.

Finish:

Corbin went for a top-rope maneuver, but Page countered mid-air with an incredible Ego’s Edge powerbomb and scored the pin!

Winner: Ethan Page via pinfall

Post-match: Ethan stood tall and signaled to Carmelo Hayes, who came out on the stage, holding up his new title. They stared down as NXT went off the air.

Vic Joseph: “Next week: Ethan Page vs. Carmelo Hayes for the North American Title! What a night!”
