ULW held a live show on July 18th and the following is what happened:
Jurassic Express defeated YMCA in a great tag team battle via pinfall. The former WWE co-champion, Jungle Boy, took to the microphone and proclaimed that he and Luchasaurus would finally hold tag gold soon as they continue to face team after team! Luchasaurus doubled-down on his teammate’s confidence, as he declared: “FTR! You will learn the real meaning of fear when we put the fear of God in the two of you when we finally get a shot at that gold!”
Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane tore the house down with a brutal match of technical and aerial skills in conflict. After ten grueling minutes, Shayna successfully tapped Kairi out and raised her hand confidently in the air while framing her waist with her free hand.
The Miz squared off against Fandango, but the crowd – again – started chanting for R-Truth. Miz grew frustrated once more and went to leave, but Fandango caught him from behind, which caused Miz to fall forward into the guardrail! This moment lacerated Miz as Fandango brought him into the ring and finished him off with the crowd roaring with approval! Fandango secured the victory and was crowd-surfed back to the locker room area!
In the Main Event, Io Shirai successfully defended her International Championship against Madison Rayne, in a hard-fought bout. As she celebrated in the ring, Chelsea Green interrupted her, calling her a “phony” and a “pathetic excuse for a champion”! Chelsea challenged Io to a match for the prize at Insane Intensity on August 8th, and – to her surprise -, Io accepted! The show concluded with Io warning Chelsea that she better be careful what she wishes for!
