From the Desk of Acting Head of Cash Mouse Entertainment, Leonard N. Mouse:

Despite the disrespect shown to me and my company by the BWM Inc. owner, and my only surviving brother, Benny, I have just finished with a blockbuster trade deal which should signal to the world that I am better than my now-deceased siblings ever were. Not only am I a better promoter, but I am more willing to do what is best for business; even when it may harm some things we have planned.

So, in the spirit of making this industry thrive I received a message from the legendary Master Splinter of a willingness to trade. He started naming off names of people whom AEW was willing to part with in exchange for one of our exempted talent (the identity of whom remained unknown to me for most of the negotiation), and those names included some of the stars that AEW picked up in the draft. In the interest of maintaining a trust-based relationship for future business deals I will not disclose the names of the initially-offered talent.

It was during this bombardment of lower tier names that I finally heard the name of the superstar that they had their eye on: former UWF and Undisputed World Champion, Randy Orton. To say that I struggled with this decision would be a major understatement. Still, I wanted to maintain the understanding that business will be done differently here in ULW than with promotions of the past, so I extended my counteroffers and we wound up settling on sending Randy Orton to AEW in exchange for former PWI Tag Team Champions, FTR, and top prospect of women’s wrestling, Dakota Kai.

Let me be clear here: this was not an easy decision, and I would have much rather sent Orton to AEW in exchange for a single superstar of equal caliber. While I recognize and appreciate the talents of the superstars we’ve just signed in exchange, the loss of Randy Orton will have some ripple effects…even if our current Undisputed Champion, CM Punk, may be elated with the news considering how he snuck in his title victory over Randy at Memorial Mayhem.

Still, it must be known that Randy Orton had been abusing some of his league privileges here in ULW for much of the first season of ULW, including threatening our third-highest ranking ULW official – Stacy Keibler – to secure more unwarranted opportunities. Needless to say, he was getting out of control, and I started to recognize why my brother Mickey sought to bury Orton when he arrived in PWI in 2023.

Make no mistake, Randy Orton will always be a target for future draft or trade opportunities, because his stock is undeniably high, and that will never change. Even so, this veteran of the sport should know better than to throw his weight around the way he has here as of late. Let’s hope he finds some balance in his new home and that he never entertains violence against helpless women again.

Finally, I want to address the WWE administration. Depending on your offers, we are always willing to make a deal. Perhaps we can work something out before WOW Week concludes next weekend.

Leonard Nimoy Mouse, Acting Head of Cash Mouse Entertainment and ULW Chief Commissioner
