Mission in Waiting – Mision Arrastrada

Sorry that we have been absent the past few weeks (hey, we took a few pages out of Hyatte’s book), but it has been a hectic period. Included in such hectic period was the fact that ULW scored only the second victory over AEW in this era of the industry when Awesome Aggression defeated AEW’s go-home Dynamite. When I finish watching the programming from both WWE and AEW last weekend and get caught up, I will either do a thorough reflection on the competition or I will have Anthony and Thomas review them individually. Time will tell.

I will say one thing from what I have watched so far, though, and it is that while AEW has been a lot of fun, WWE is seriously gaining some traction. Will this era be renamed the “WWE Era”? It could happen. It really could, but more on that at another time!

For now, I wanted to offer a quick preview for ULW in the week to come!

Kicking things off on Aggression will be a 10-Woman Tag Team Match featuring the 4-Time Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, with her “Cult” (Akosha, The Bunny, Nikki Cross, and Living Dead Girl) taking on the International Champion, Io Shirai, the 2025 Death From Above Match Winner, AJ Lee, Mandy Rose, Becky Lynch, and the iconic Amazon! This match has been building for weeks (maybe even months or years, honestly) with the tensions and stories building amongst all of the women involved. After chaos erupted this past Friday and Intensity, the powers that be slated this encounter.

However, this won’t be the end of it, as Io will have to defend her International Championship against Cult Member Akosha this Friday on Intensity! Some may wonder why Living Dead Girl isn’t getting the nod, but I have been told that it is because Akosha is “more deserving” amongst the Cult. At least, that’s what is being said.

This week we also have a pair of League title matches. First, on Aggression, Buddy Murphy follows through on getting his surprise Premier Title match against the champion, Owen Hart, as both men attempt to stay on the good side of “They”. Then, on Animosity, Kevin Owens defends his Extreme Title against Ricky Starks 6 days before participating in a Fatal Five Way match to determine the new Undisputed Champion at Cinco De Massacre!

Speaking of title opportunities, Intensity will be headlined by a Tag Team Royale to determine the next challengers for the champions, The Rascalz. Tonight, though, we will see in the main event a special invitational hosted by the Legendary Slammu, as the icon looks to warm up for the aforementioned Fatal Five Way by taking on whomever makes their way to the ring to square up!

And let’s not forget the fact that Matt Cardona will finally get to see who has been attacking him and costing him everything!

It’s going to be quite the week. Hell, the next month is going to be can’t-miss! Just stay tuned!
