Mission in Waiting – St. Patty’s Day Madness
Since things kind of go wrong when I try to offer predictions for scheduled broadcasts, I will just focus on sharing a preview of the next ULW broadcast. This next show from Undisputed League Wrestling will feature 3 great and high-stakes matches with gold on the line. This comes two weeks out from the next major ULW event – Easter Evil – as the ULW presents a special installment of Aggression subtitled “Lucky Break”:
Kicking the show off will be a showdown to crown the inaugural “Undisputed League Champion” in a ladder match pitting the Extreme Champion, Kevin Owens, against the Premier Champion, the Giant Gonzales. This initially began as a result of the two having a chance interaction backstage which itself led the two champions to start comparing their accomplishments and determination.
After Gonzales had assured Owens that he neither wanted Kevin’s title, nor did he believe Owens would stand a chance if they ever fought, Kevin let his anger over their encounter linger until he suddenly attacked Gonzales in vicious fashion last Monday. This, then, led the Executive Vice Commissioner of ULW, Stacy Keibler, to announce that two champions would have this ladder match tonight.
What’s at stake here? Well, according to Stacy (speaking after a vote of the Board of Directors and the ULW Cabinet), the titles will be periodically unified to create an “Undisputed League Champion” who will enjoy double the perks of the individual league champions. However, the winner of these unification matches will also earn an automatic shot (the first of 7 tries) at the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship at Easter Evil! Very high stakes, indeed!
The next bout will be for the Women’s Championship as the now-four time champion, Alexa Bliss defends against Living Dead Girl. The two had a brief encounter during the Falls Count Anywhere match last week, and Alexa seemed practically unphased by her challenger. Let’s see if that confidence keeps up as Alexa takes on the former dominant champion!
Then, in our Main Event, the winner of the Massacre Six Match, the Ladies Man has earned his first-ever shot at a World Title as he challenges CM Punk for the Undisputed Gold. You kind of have to feel for Punk, as his desire to remain champion will have to survive three weeks of back-to-back title defenses, but the same curse belongs to the underdog here in Ladies Man.
Whoever wins here will have to defend the championship next week in a triple threat match against Randy Orton and Connor McGregor, and then the winner of that match will defend against the winner of Gonzales and Owens in two weeks! Now, that’s a gauntlet!
I don’t know about you, but I am excited for this week of action as the three wrestling promotions are slated to have a war for ratings supremacy yet again! Have fun!!
Until our next Quest, this has been Johnny with yet another mission!
