ULW held a live show early on February 24th and the following is what happened:
For the return of ULW to live touring, the opening bout featured Pretty Deadly taking on the Duct Tape Men. Everything was going to plan until Elton Prince noticed Big Show sitting in the stands. He grew nervous and bailed like a bat out of hell. Kit Wilson tried to escape with him, but he was caught by Dos and nailed with the Adhesive Strip for the pinfall!
In a single encounter, Alicia Fox won a shocker against Ivelisse (who was still nursing a serious hand injury from a match almost a month earlier). After the match, she grabbed the mic and declared that this was definitively going to be her era!
Nathan Jones wrestled Mr. Kennedy to a draw, but after the match, Kennedy grew frustrated and shocked Jones by breaking his neck! He was then dragged out of the ring, demanding to know where his tag team partner was!
Homicide was then featured in a match taking on Adam Rose, but he lost the bout only after Chris Jericho provided a well-timed distraction! The rest of LAX then stormed to the ring, as Jericho fled for his life! Homicide then took a mic and issued a challenge to Jericho for this Friday’s Intensity!!
In women’s action, Carmella defeated Alundra Blayze, and then Velvet Sky defeated Hikaru Shida. The two of them then faced off for an opportunity to challenge for the International Championship, which was won stunningly by Velvet! Io Shirai then made her way to the ring and congratulated Sky, wishing her good luck for Intensity.
Back to men’s action, Sean Olson made his way with the rest of the members of “They” and made quick work of Matt Taven. Following the match, the three men strung Taven up and hoisted upside down on a crucifix whilst Olson lacerated Taven, rubbed his hands on Taven’s face and then covered himself with Taven’s blood! Security rushed to the ring, as They exited, to rescue Taven from bleeding out!
In the Main Event of the show, The Acolytes successfully defeated The Hollys in retaining their tag team titles. Their celebration was cut short, though, as the Young Bucks emerged on the stage and warned that they were coming for the gold! However, at that moment, the lights went out and came back on to reveal that the Young Bucks had been attacked…and it couldn’t have been the champions, as they were 15 yards away in the middle of the ring!
With paramedics tending to Nick and Matt Jackson, the show drew to a close!
