Opening Segment: Johnny Knoxville and GM Shawn Michaels
The show opens backstage with Johnny Knoxville wandering through the NXT arena with a mischievous grin, carrying a large box labeled “Danger: Explosives.” He heads straight to Shawn Michaels’ office. Shawn is in the middle of a meeting with Commissioner Mick Foley when Knoxville barges in.
Shawn Michaels: “Johnny, you can’t just walk in here like that—what’s in the box?”
Johnny Knoxville: “Oh, just some fireworks! I thought the show needed a bit more bang, you know?”
Shawn looks exasperated, rubbing his temples.
Mick Foley: “Shawn, it’s Johnny Knoxville. You knew what you were signing up for.”
Knoxville pulls out a tiny firecracker and lights it, causing everyone to dive for cover. It fizzles out harmlessly, and Knoxville bursts out laughing.
Shawn Michaels: “Johnny, you can’t do that here! This is a wrestling show, not a stunt set!”
Johnny Knoxville: “Come on, Shawn! Just let me do one little stunt in the ring tonight, I promise I won’t blow up anything…big.”
Shawn sighs, knowing there’s no winning this.
Shawn Michaels: “Fine. ONE stunt, Johnny, and if anything goes wrong, it’s on you.”
Knoxville grins, pulling an oversized hand out of the box.
Johnny Knoxville: “Deal! Now, where do you keep the pyrotechnics button?”
In-Ring Segment: Johnny Gargano Challenges Karrion Kross
Johnny Gargano makes his way to the ring to a roaring ovation. He grabs a mic and paces back and forth, visibly fired up.
Johnny Gargano: “Karrion Kross! The new champ! The standard and flag bearer of NXT! Here’s the thing—you underestimated the wrong guy. You may be the NXT Champion, but I am Johnny Wrestling. I’m not afraid of you, your smoke, your mirrors, or your creepy TikToks.”
The crowd cheers, and Gargano points to the stage.
Johnny Gargano: “Next week, I want you, one-on-one, in a Last Man Standing match for that NXT Championship. You put Lexis King down but let’s see if you can keep me down!”
Karrion Kross appears on the big video screen, staring menacingly into the camera.
Karrion Kross: “Johnny, you want to play the hero, but this isn’t a fairy tale. Next week, you won’t be standing—you’ll be crawling, begging, and falling…again and again. Your time is up, Johnny. Tik-tok.”
The screen cuts to black, leaving Gargano unfazed in the ring as the crowd chants his name.
Sonya Deville and The Dominatrix Stalk Candace LaRae
The scene cuts to Candace LaRae’s home, where she is seen unwinding in her living room. Unbeknownst to her, Sonya Deville and The Dominatrix are lurking outside, watching her through the windows. The camera shows the duo peering in, their faces twisted in unsettling smiles.
Candace heads to the bathroom to take a shower. The camera follows her inside, showing a shadow moving outside the frosted glass of the shower door. Candace, oblivious, enjoys her peaceful moment, while Sonya and The Dominatrix exchange sinister glances, almost as if savoring their control over the situation.
The segment ends with Candace stepping out of the shower, drying off as Sonya and The Dominatrix silently slip away into the shadows, leaving behind a creepy calling card—a black rose with a note that reads: “We see you.”
Match: Baron Corbin vs. Bronson Reed
Commentary: “This match is going to be a slugfest, Wade. Both these men have a lot to prove tonight.”
Match Start: The bell rings, and Bronson Reed charges at Corbin, hitting him with a huge shoulder tackle that sends Corbin stumbling into the ropes. Reed follows up with a massive splash in the corner, but Corbin dodges at the last second, causing Reed to crash chest-first into the turnbuckle.
Corbin capitalizes, hitting a series of vicious right hands and then a thunderous clothesline that floors Reed. Corbin smirks, dragging Reed to the center of the ring for a quick pin. Reed kicks out at two, and Corbin begins to show signs of frustration.
Mid-Match Action: Corbin hits the ropes for a Deep Six, but Reed counters with a massive belly-to-belly suplex, sending Corbin flying across the ring. The crowd erupts as Reed hits the ropes and crushes Corbin with a senton. He goes for the pin, but Corbin kicks out at two-and-a-half.
Reed signals for the Tsunami splash, climbing to the top rope, but Corbin rolls out of the ring, avoiding disaster. Reed isn’t deterred; he launches himself off the apron with a diving shoulder tackle, sending Corbin crashing into the barricade.
Closing Moments: Back in the ring, Corbin hits the End of Days out of nowhere, planting Reed in the middle of the ring. Corbin goes for the pin, but Reed kicks out just before the three-count, shocking everyone, including Corbin. Enraged, Corbin argues with the referee, giving Reed time to recover.
Reed counters Corbin’s next move with a thunderous Samoan Drop, shaking the ring. Reed climbs the ropes once more and connects with the Tsunami splash, crushing Corbin beneath his massive frame. Reed hooks the leg for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Bronson Reed
Commentary: “Bronson Reed just put the entire locker room on notice with that win! Baron Corbin threw everything he had, but Reed was just too much tonight.”
