The World of Wrestling shared the news of the first ratings battle of the 7th Era – which took place on Friday, July 5th, 2024 – with Murrey Entertainment and Cash Mouse Entertainment, and the results were incredible!

Murrey Entertainment has not released a statement in response to this, but Triad Member Ted Dibiase had the following to say in comments captured by Johnny Quest:

“This was the first shot across the bow! On Friday, I managed to preside over an accomplishment that Mickey had not EVER accomplished – not even with the juggernaut that was the USWA -: winning a head-to-head ratings battle to kick off an era! It also is not lost on me that my first night at the helm of a new company in competition overtook a company led by the man who kick-started my career. So, thank you, Jeff, for preparing me to kick your ass! There is plenty more where that came from. Brace yourself, world! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!”

Triad Member Brown was a little more measured in his response:

“Look, my brother was never able to do this. Remember that HCW’s only era of competitiveness started with two consecutive losses to EWA before we actually started to pick up steam and then eventually dominate the 4th Era. So, this is a surreal, yet great, accomplishment for me and for my compatriots here in Cash Mouse Entertainment. This is a day that I will not soon forget.”

Finally, we were able just before submitting this article for publishing to get this humble reaction from Triad Member Catherine Mouse:

“I understand that Mr. Dibiase is just now popping the champagne in celebration for a victory that his apparent scheduling preferences would have prevented. He should remember that he opposed Triad Member Brown and I pushing for this scheduling change, but I will let him bask in this, I suppose, even if the ratings victory was a product of the hard work of our talent, not his supposed genius.

The real winners in all of this, though, are the fans of professional wrestling. They were treated to not one, but two excellent wrestling programs on Friday night!

We – and by that, I mean to also include our friends in WWE, as this sport is a family – we, together, not only overcame the greatest threat in the history of sports entertainment by defeating my father, but we moved forward with a profound statement that it is here to stay…and only going to get better from this point onward!

I look forward to sharing the limelight with WWE again in addition to AEW later this evening as we see the first Monday ratings battle of this brave new era. Let’s go have some fun!”

Tune in tonight to see the second act of ULW’s premiere with “The Shockwave”!
