Memphis, TN – 6/18/24

We are now 3 days removed from the 2024 WOW Draft, and I have a lot of thoughts regarding the historic event. First and foremost, I want to thank the people of Charleston, West Virginia for hosting all three major wrestling promotions for this occasion. Secondly, I want to thank WOW Chairman Bunny for presiding over this event. Lastly, I want to thank my cousin, Megan, both for her kind words at the unfortunate set of funerals that our family had to endure a few weeks ago and for her professionalism in all of this.

What was also most unfortunate, though, was in how certain attending men in charge conducted themselves. I will not go so far as to name names, but we all know who they are. Look, I don’t care if someone felt the need to excuse themselves during the proceedings, but the problem that I do have is with the unprofessional manner in which they grandstanded on the way out.

This is OUR universe, not any person’s alone. We may all be here right now because of the vision of some select individuals in the DISTANT past, but we owe little more than a thank you for introducing the greatest form of entertainment on a mainstream stage. The persistent disrespect by these ancient visionaries as aimed towards those of us who are building the future of this business is not a requirement. One such megalomaniac met their fate due to the consequences of their own ego, and those of us left behind need to strive to be better than that particular individual.

Moreover, it is not incumbent upon me to give in to any – let alone all – of my partners. I am my own person with my own vision. The Triad is strong because we can each contribute to the ultimate goal of delivering a product that the world can enjoy from top to bottom. Bowing to any one member’s will is not in line with the spirit of our objective, but rather an invitation to stepping atop a dangerous slippery slope back into the despotism from which we were just liberated. Never again.

So, with an eye towards Starrcade – which has been moved by WOW decree to this Thursday -, I am choosing to ignore the noise and press forward with grace. Cash Mouse Entertainment deserves nothing less, and the industry of Sports Entertainment as a whole would greatly benefit from such.
