The crowd erupts as Batista’s entrance music hits. The Animal makes his way to the ring, newly crowned WWE Legends Championship around his massive shoulders. He snatches a microphone from the ringside crew.
“Listen up, NXT! You’re looking at the first ever Legends Champion. This new title was made for a main event player like me. All you young bucks better recognize what a real main eventer looks like.”
Batista eyes the hard camera intensely.
“Tonight, I’m issuing an open challenge to any man dumb enough to step in the ring with The Animal. Maybe someone has a death wish? If he shows his face, I’m going to Batista Bomb him or her straight through the mat and all the way down to hell!”
Batista drops the microphone and pounds his chest, letting out a primal yell. The show’s opener has been set with Batista’s hard-hitting declaration.

Open Challenge
Batista vs Butch
After Batista’s fiery open challenge earlier in the night, the NXT arena is buzzing as Butch’s music hits. The upstart makes his way to the ring, seemingly unfazed by The Animal’s threat.
The bell rings and Batista immediately charges at Butch, looking for the early knockout blow. But Butch is swift, dodging Batista’s reckless attacks. He manages to take Batista’s legs out from under him with a dropkick.
Butch starts unleashing furious strikes in the corner, trying to ground the much larger Batista. The hall of famer shakes off the offense and tosses Butch across the ring with disdain. Batista scores with a huge spinebuster and the crowd can feel the momentum swinging his way.
Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but Butch slips free at the last second. He keeps the pace furious, refusing to stay down against the legendary opponent. Back and forth they go with Butch’s agility countering Batista’s sheer power.
In the end, it’s a split-second distraction that does Butch in. He turns his back for just a moment and Batista clobbers him with a massive spear! Batista makes the easy cover for the 1-2-3!
Batista stands tall, the destructive WWE Legends Champion. He grabs Butch by the neck and delivers the very Batista Bomb he promised!

A Grave Declaration
Eerie, atmospheric music plays as the vignette opens on a foggy graveyard at night
The camera pans across various old, weathered tombstones until settling on Lexis King, the NXT Champion. He’s standing over a grave, unbuckling his pants as he looks directly into the camera with a menacing smirk.
King: You wanna know what I think of all these NXT “challengers”?
He proceeds to urinate on the tombstone in front of him, letting out a satisfied grunt
King: That’s exactly how much respect I have for any of you sad saps thinking you can take this title from me.
He zips up and stands defiantly, holding the NXT Championship up to the camera
King: This isn’t just a championship to me. It’s a testament to my dominance. I’m the best this goddamn brand has ever seen and you know it!
King walks across the graveyard, stepping over graves without a care
King: But don’t worry, you don’t have to live with the embarrassment of failing to beat me for much longer.
He looks straight into the camera again, arrogant smirk remaining
King: My days here are numbered anyway. I’m going to the main roster sooner rather than later. Stomping out all you poor souls is just the undercard for me.
King stands in the middle of the graveyard, holding the title up proud as the fog swirls around him
King: This is still my kingdom for now. Anyone delusional enough to try and take it can come get their ass kicked and pissed on too!
He slashes his thumb across his throat as the vignette fades to black
