AEW Dynamite #012 (1.22.24)

Live from the WVU Coliseum | Morgantown, WV | Crowd Size: 14,005

SEGMENT ONE

The pyro explodes and the Dynamite theme plays as Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly welcome us to the show. We’re live from Morgantown, West Virginia in front of a sold-out crowd for what promises to be a huge night of action. Anderson and Kelly recap the shocking closing moments from last Monday, in which Splinter was set to reveal Benny’s whereabouts, but instead was met with a beatdown from the returning Menotaur! Kelly says the mystery surrounding Benny Mouse has plagued the AEW since its inception, and whatever the truth may be, he and Sami Zayn have worked tirelessly to keep it under wraps. They quickly discuss tonight’s card, which will feature the final two qualifying matches for Zayn’s “Beat the Clock Championship Challenge” as well as the contract signing for the AEW Television Championship match at Genesis between MJF and Cody Rhodes!

They’re interrupted as the opening notes of “Worlds Apart” sound, and the Director of Operations Sami Zayn appears atop the stage, an arrogant grin washing over his face. The crowd’s dismay is evident as a chorus of boos envelop the WVU Coliseum as Zayn strides to the ring. Zayn grabs the microphone from ring announcer Jane Mouse, as Kelly notes the hostile crowd’s boos are nearly deafening.

Sami Zayn: (amidst boos that almost drown out his words) Last Monday, we got a little reminder of what happens to those who try to cross paths with myself and Benny Mouse. Two weeks ago, Splinter made a big mistake when he threatened us, and last week he got exactly what was coming to him for sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong!

The crowd’s discontent intensifies, but Zayn revels in the negative reaction.

Sami Zayn: Tonight is a special night, because we’re not only witnessing the return of a true legend, but we’re also going to hear from him for the first time in over 20 years! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the one, the only… Menotaur!

“Denial” plays over the speakers, as the crowd initially pops with excitement but are also clearly dissatisfied by Menotaur’s decision to align himself with Sami Zayn and Benny Mouse. Menotaur, as imposing as ever, grabs the microphone from Zayn.

Menotaur: (stoically) For years, I’ve received calls from various promoters, begging me to step out of retirement. And of all those phone calls, none of them presented me with an offer even close to as enticing as what Benny Mouse offered. From this day forward, I’m here to do whatever Benny Mouse asks of me.

The mixed reaction Menotaur received upon his introduction has now completely turned to deafening boos, but Menotaur looks unbothered. Zayn claps for Menotaur as he pledges his allegiance to Benny Mouse.

Menotaur: This isn’t about my legacy. I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.

With that bold declaration, Menotaur drops the microphone, which thuds as it hits the center of the ring.

Sami Zayn: (arrogantly) There you have it, folks! The legendary Menotaur is back, and he’s with us!

Suddenly, the arena plunges into darkness. Confusion washes over the crowd as Anderson and Kelly openly speculate on what’s happening. A familiar theme song hits, as the crowd erupts for the debut of the Harlem Turtles! Steve R and Booker D rush to the ring, seeking retribution for the attack on their “uncle” and mentor, Master Splinter!

Arn Anderson: My God, it’s the Harlem Turtles!

Kevin Kelly: And the normally jovial Turtles look pissed off! Menotaur and Zayn better think fast, because the Harlem Turtles are seeking retribution!

Menotaur and Sami Zayn quickly bail from the ring, escaping the wrath of the Harlem Turtles. The chaos ensues, and the crowd is on its feet as the show kicks off with an explosive start!

Arn Anderson: Every time Sami Zayn and Benny Mouse think they’ve gained a leg up, they’re met with more and more frustration. The Harlem Turtles were drafted to the AEW back in June, but this is the first time we’ve seen them on BWM Inc. programming in years!

Kevin Kelly: An absolutely wild start to Dynamite, and we’re just heating up!

In the chaotic aftermath of what just transpired in the ring with the Harlem Turtles, Sami Zayn and Menotaur are backstage catching their breath. Zayn, still on edge, jumps when someone bumps into him. Relief washes over his face when he turns around to find that it isn’t one of his growing list of enemies, and instead the camera pans to reveal Ronda Rousey!

Sami Zayn: (sighing) Oh, thank God. You scared the hell out me, Ronda!

Rousey finds no humor in the situation, and instead she starts unloading her frustrations about what transpired two weeks ago in her match with Rhea Ripley. Rousey says the distraction from Nyla Rose cost her a match and set her back in her quest to recapture the Knockouts Championship, and she’s pissed.

Ronda Rousey: I’ve had enough of the games, Sami. I want to settle this once and for all. I want Nyla Rose!

Zayn is visibly irritated, and interrupts Rousey’s demands.

Sami Zayn: Did you not see what just happened out there? I almost got assaulted!

Ronda Rousey: I don’t really care about your problems, Sami. I want you to do your job! I want Nyla, and I want her next week on Dynamite!

Sami Zayn: (sarcastically) Well, fine, but this could have been an email! If you’re so eager to tear each other apart, let’s make it official. Next week, it’ll be Ronda Rousey and Nyla Rose… inside a steel cage! Now, if you don’t mind, I need a minute to regroup!

Zayn and Menotaur exit, as Rousey’s left looking pleased with Zayn’s announcement.

Back at ringside, Kelly and Anderson discuss next week’s show, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest cards in Dynamite’s history. Not only will we see the cage match just announced, we’ll also get the dream match between Athena Star and Angelina Love! Plus, we’ll see the two men with the best times in the Beat the Clock Championship Challenge compete to name a number one contender. Anderson says the last stop before Genesis is shaping up to be a can’t-miss show!

Match # 1 | Beat the Clock Championship Challenge
Rob Van Dam (0-0) vs. ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks
(0-0)

As the bell sounds, we see a mutual show of respect as the Whole F’n Show and Absolute Ricky Starks shake hands. Kelly runs down the times to beat, with Kevin Owens scoring his win in eight minutes and three seconds, and Danielson scoring his win in nine minutes fifty-five seconds. The two circle one another, with Starks hitting a series of rapid-fire arm drags the show RVD what he’s for. RVD, the seasoned veteran, responds with a series of stiff kicks and aerial maneuvers, showcasing his renowned innovative offense.

Kevin Kelly: Ricky Starks, the Internet Champion, is looking to advance up the card in All Elite Wrestling with a victory here tonight.

Arn Anderson: There’s a reason he was BWM Inc.’s second round draft pick, and the pundits all agree that there are big things on the horizon for that young man. But RVD isn’t going to let this opportunity pass him by without a fight, a win here tonight could get him into championship contention for the first time in years!

Starks and RVD engage in a technical showcase, exchanging holds and counters. As RVD looks to have the upper hand, Starks turns things around with one of the most picture-perfect dropkicks in the business.

Kevin Kelly: Starks is looking to prove himself tonight, and a win over RVD would do just that.

Starks continues to control the pacing, catching RVD with his patented corner back elbow followed up by a flying clothesline. He goes for a cover, but RVD kicks out. Starks sends RVD into the corner, but RVD turns things around with a springboard crossbody from the second rope. A superkick sends Starks to the outside, and RVD follows it up with a somersault placha. Referee Pete tries to get the action back in the ring, but not before Starks is able to reverse an Irish whip that sends RVD knee-first into the steps.

Arn Anderson: A veteran counter from the newcomer, Ricky Starks!

Kevin Kelly: If Starks can take out the knees of Van Dam, that’s going to really turn things around. RVD’s offense doesn’t work if he doesn’t have those weapons he calls legs.

The two men are back in the ring, and RVD reverses the tide again with a Van Daminator. He tries to follow it up with the Rolling Thunder, but Starks gets his knees up in the nick of time, driving them into the back of Van Dam. Starks follows it up with a swinging neck breaker for two.

Arn Anderson: I think a lot of people underestimate just how strong Ricky Starks actually is.

As the match progresses, RVD finally gains control with a series of kicks and high-flying maneuvers. The crowd cheers as RVD ascends the turnbuckle, signaling for the iconic 5 Star Frog Splash!

Arn Anderson: This could be all she wrote for Ricky Starks!

However, Starks shows resilience and rolls out of harm’s way just in time. The crowd erupts as Starks seizes the opportunity. Ricky Starks, capitalizing on the opening, delivers a swift and impactful Roshambo to RVD.

Kevin Kelly: The Roshambo! Starks with the cover!

The referee counts, and the bell rings as Starks secures the victory.

Winner: ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks (1-0)
Match Time: 9:40

As Starks celebrates in the ring, Anderson informs us that with the victory we just witnessed, Starks has eliminated The American Dragon from the Beat the Clock Championship Challenge, besting him by a mere 15 seconds!

SEGMENT TWO

Backstage, AEW correspondent Renee Young is standing by with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles!

Renee Young: Ladies and gentleman, my guest at this time is the reigning AEW World Heavyweight Champion, the one and the only AJ Styles! AJ, tonight Sami Zayn’s Beat the Clock Championship Challenge continues to determine your challenger in the main event of Genesis, live on PPV February 4. What are your thoughts on the developments we’ve seen so far?

AJ takes a moment, his expression thoughtful as he begins to respond.

AJ Styles: Honestly, Renee, I’m a little disheartened… it’s disheartening to see my good friend, the American Dragon Bryan Danielson, eliminated from the series. Not to take anything away from Ricky Starks, but Danielson is a phenomenal competitor and I know we could’ve torn the house down at Genesis.

AJ Styles: But in this business, you have to adapt, and tonight it seems Ricky Starks might be the one stepping up. Regardless of who the challenger is, I plan to continue this title reign. We’re at 419 days now, and that’s not stopping anytime soon.

Renee Young: Shifting gears, I’d be remised if I didn’t ask for your reaction regarding this weekend’s interview with PWI World Champion Dragonfly, who mentioned a potential match with you down the line.

AJ Styles acknowledges the respect he has for Dragonfly but makes his priorities clear.

AJ Styles: Dragonfly’s a great talent, and I respect what he’s done in his promotion. But let’s be real, Renee. I’m not here to concern myself with the champion of the third-ranked promotion that’s on its way out of the industry. Yes, his title reign has been impressive, and yes, he’s a lock as one of the greatest performers of all time, but honestly, we could say the same thing about myself. The difference between Dragonfly and myself is that I let my work in that ring do most of my talking.

AJ Styles: And truthfully, Renee, long after the competition retires, I’ll still be here doing what I do best. My focus is on AEW and maintaining this championship legacy. So, be it Ricky Starks, Kevin Owens, or the someone else, on February 4, I’m leaving Genesis the same way I come into it… the AEW World Heavyweight Champion!

The interview concludes with Styles exuding confidence as he heads into the next chapter of his illustrious championship reign.

A vignette set to Theory of a Deadman’s song G.O.A.T. airs, highlighting the unique journeys that Angelina Love and Athena Star have undergone throughout their careers. ‘You’re the best that the world will know. No one’d ever guess how far you’d go. The the greatest, the greatest that there ever was.‘ The vignette shows career highlights from both, including Star’s Knockouts Championship win, her matches with Amazon, and her reign as the World of Wrestling Undisputed Champion. Love’s highlights include her two PWI Women’s Championship reigns, as well as her Immunity Championship reign. The video hypes up next week’s dream match between the two, their first-ever in-ring meeting! ‘You never quit till the finish line. You always win with your head held high. Your legend will never die. You’re the greatest, the greatest there ever was!’

At ringside, Arn Anderson and Kevin Kelly discuss what we just witnessed, and promise that Angelina Love and Athena Star will tear the house down next week.

Match #2 | Exhibition Match
AEW Knockouts Champion Sasha Banks (0-0) vs. Io Shirai (0-0)

As the introductions are made, Anderson notes that the AEW Knockouts Champion Sasha Banks has been frustrated lately by all the time her competitors in the Knockouts Division have gotten on TV, while this is her first match of 2024. Kelly says the Knockouts Division has never been so stacked, and that a win tonight for the former PWI Women’s Champion Io Shirai could catapult her straight into title contention. Anderson says this match is a non-title match, and notes that Banks’ challenger at Genesis Rhea Ripley is most certainly watching.

The match begins with a feeling-out process as both competitors circle each other in the ring. Sasha Banks, “The Legit Boss,” and Io Shirai, “The Genius of the Sky,” exchange intense stares, each aware of the challenge they are about to face.

Sasha Banks takes the initiative, attempting a quick arm drag, but Io Shirai counters with a graceful cartwheel, escaping Sasha’s grasp. The crowd applauds the display of athleticism.

Sasha regains control with a snapmare, taking Io down to the mat. The Legit Boss transitions seamlessly into a side headlock, putting pressure on Io’s neck. On commentary, Kelly applauds Sasha’s technical skills, and Anderson says it’s a smart strategy to ground the Genius of the Sky.

Io Shirai, however, uses her flexibility to escape the headlock, twisting her body and sending Sasha into the ropes. As Sasha rebounds, Io executes a beautiful dropkick, stunning The Legit Boss.

Kevin Kelly: Io Shirai with pinpoint accuracy on that dropkick!

Arn Anderson: Sasha needs to regroup here.

Io Shirai seizes the opportunity and ascends the turnbuckle, ready to unleash her high-flying offense. However, Sasha Banks, quick on her feet, dashes towards the ropes and crotches Io on the top turnbuckle.

Kevin Kelly: Sasha Banks showing her ring awareness!

Arn Anderson: She’s not letting Io Shirai dictate the pace.

Sasha climbs up to join Io on the top rope, setting up for a superplex. The crowd is on its feet, anticipating the impact. Sasha successfully executes the superplex, shaking the entire ring. The impact takes a toll on both competitors, but Sasha, ever the opportunist, goes for the cover. Io kicks out at two!

Kevin Kelly: Has there ever been a time where the Knockouts have been as on-fire as they’ve been lately? It’s always an A+ performance when these women lace up their boots!

The action continues, as the two battle back and forth until an ill-timed crossbody block from Io gives Sasha an opening. Sasha catches Io with the running meteora, knocking her unconscious as her knees connect hard with her chin. Sasha covers, and Knockouts official Kenzie counts the three!

Winner: Sasha Banks (1-0)
Match Time: 11:12

SEGMENT THREE

The screen flickers to life, revealing a dimly lit room. Darby Allin stands against a graffiti-covered wall, his face painted half in black, showcasing his trademark intensity. The ambiance is both mysterious and ominous as Darby addresses the camera.

Darby Allin: Brock Lesnar… the Beast Incarnate. A man who instills fear in the hearts of many. They say fear the beast, but let me tell you something – I don’t fear Brock Lesnar.

Darby’s eyes pierce through the darkness as he speaks with conviction.

Darby Allin: Brock, you and your advocate, Paul Heyman, might think this is personal. That I attacked you at Starrcade out of some vendetta, but you’re wrong. This has never been personal for me.

The sound of distant sirens and the echo of footsteps on concrete add an eerie undertone to Darby’s words.

Darby Allin: Genesis is approaching, and I’m counting down the days until our collision in that ring. Win, lose, or draw – it doesn’t matter. This isn’t about victories or losses. It’s about something deeper, something you and the rest of the world will soon understand.

Darby Allin: You see, what happened at Starrcade, what’s going to happen at Genesis – it’s not about you or me. It’s about what they demand. The forces that transcend our existence, the ones pulling the strings in the shadows.

The camera zooms in on Darby’s half-painted face, revealing a blend of determination and enigma.

Darby Allin: So, Brock, prepare yourself. Because whether you’re ready or not, at Genesis, you and the rest of the world will do what they ask.

The screen fades to black, leaving a lingering sense of anticipation and uncertainty in the air.

Our cameras transition to Kevin Nash’s locker room, where we immediately see Hulk Hogan approaching the big man. Nash does not look happy.

Hulk Hogan: Kev, we need to talk, brother.

Nash crosses his arms, maintaining a defensive stance.

Kevin Nash: I told you, Hogan, I ain’t interested in talking.

Hogan, however, is persistent and extends an olive branch.

Hulk Hogan: Look, brother, I owe you an apology. I should’ve been straight with you from the start. But you gotta understand, it’s not what you think.

Nash raises an eyebrow, skeptical but listening.

Kevin Nash: Cut the crap, Hogan. You lied straight to my face.

Hogan takes a deep breath before revealing the unexpected.

Hulk Hogan: I met Matt Riddle at Starrcade, when he still worked for the WWE. He suggested something to help with my glaucoma… Marijuana, Kev. He said it could be my medication.

Nash’s expression shifts, registering surprise at the revelation. Hogan continues to explain.

Hulk Hogan: I didn’t tell you because I knew you wouldn’t approve, especially with all we’ve been through trying to help Hall with his past substance abuse issues.

Nash’s stern demeanor softens slightly, realizing the complexity of the situation.

Kevin Nash: So, what, you’re saying you use it as medicine?

Hogan nods, hoping Nash will understand.

Hulk Hogan: Exactly, brother. It’s not about getting high; it’s about managing my health. Would you deny a cancer patient their medication?

Nash takes a moment to process the information, realizing the gravity of Hogan’s perspective.

Kevin Nash: This is a lot to take in, Hogan.

Hogan, eager to make amends, reveals a plan to soothe the tension between them.

Hulk Hogan: I get it, Kev. And I’m gonna make it up to you. I’ve pulled some strings, brother. Next week, you and Hall got a match against Jurassic Express. Win, and you’ll get a shot at the Usos for the tag titles at Genesis.

Nash’s demeanor shifts from skepticism to a hint of satisfaction.

Kevin Nash: Tag titles, huh?

Hogan nods, a determined look in his eyes.

Hulk Hogan: Yeah, brother, I got you back.

The scene concludes with Nash, contemplating the proposal, as Hogan walks away with a sense of determination to mend the fractures in their friendship.

At ringside, Anderson notes that we’ve got a full card for the go-home show for Genesis next week, with the finals of the Beat the Clock Championship Challenge, the Steel Cage match between Nyla Rose and Ronda Rousey, the #1 contenders for the Tag Titles we just learned of, and the Dream Match between Star and Love!

Match #3 | Tag Team Exhibition
S.C.U. (0-0) vs. The Jurassic Express (1-0)

Jungle Boy starts off against Scorpio Sky, and the two engage in a quick exchange of technical maneuvers. Jungle Boy, known for his agility, manages to dodge a clothesline and hits Scorpio Sky with a dropkick that sends him reeling.

Arn Anderson: Jurassic Express have been on a bit of a roll lately, but S.C.U is a team with a wealth of experience. You’ve got to ask yourself what a win could mean for them, given the news we just heard about next week’s match between Jurassic Express and the Outsiders.

Scorpio Sky, regaining his composure, tags in Frankie Kazarian. Jungle Boy makes the tag to Luchasaurus. The big man, Luchasaurus, enters the ring with a dominant presence, and Kazarian looks wary.

Kevin Kelly: Luchasaurus is an imposing force. Kazarian needs a solid strategy here.

The two lock up in the center of the ring, and Luchasaurus overpowers Kazarian with his strength. Kazarian, however, utilizes his technical skill, targeting Luchasaurus’ knee to bring the big man down to size.

Kevin Kelly: Smart strategy by Kazarian, focusing on Luchasaurus’ base.

Arn Anderson: If they can keep Luchasaurus grounded, they’ve got a chance.

Kazarian maintains control for a while, but Luchasaurus fights back, showcasing his resilience. He makes the tag to Jungle Boy, who enters the match with a burst of energy.

After a bit of a hot tag flurry from Jungle Boy, S.C.U manages to isolate him in their corner, using quick tags and double-team maneuvers to wear him down. Scorpio Sky and Kazarian demonstrate their veteran teamwork, keeping him away from his partner.

Kevin Kelly: S.C.U is showing why they have the potential to be a top-tier tag team here in AEW.

Arn Anderson: They’ve cut off the ring and are controlling the pace. They’re sending a message to the suits in the back, and to the other tag teams in this stacked division that they’re here to stay!

The momentum shifts, and the match reaches its climax as chaos ensues in the ring. Luchasaurus takes out Scorpio Sky on the outside, while Jungle Boy hits a breathtaking springboard DDT on Kazarian. He follows it up by ascending to the top rope, finishing off the sequence with a spectacular Shooting Star Press!

Kevin Kelly: What a sequence! Jurassic Express is on fire!

Arn Anderson: S.C.U is in trouble!

Jungle Boy covers Kazarian for the pin. The referee counts: One! Two! Three! The bell rings, declaring Jurassic Express the victorious team.

Kevin Kelly: Jurassic Express secures another impressive win!

Arn Anderson: They continue to build momentum. Jurassic Express is a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division, and should not be taken lightly next week when they square off against The Outsiders!

Winners: Jurassic Express (2-0)
Match Time: 16:37

SEGMENT FOUR

Back from our final commercial break, the camera focuses on the ring, adorned with the AEW Television Title and a table set for the contract signing. Logan Paul stands proudly, ready to host the proceedings.

Logan Paul: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this historic contract signing for the AEW Television Title match at Genesis! Let’s get the party started. First up, the AEW Television Champion… MJF!

MJF’s music hits, and he strolls to the ring with an air of arrogance. He ignores Logan’s handshake, choosing to take his seat at the table.

Logan Paul: And now, the challenger, the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes!

Cody’s entrance music echoes through the arena, and he enters with a focused gaze. The crowd erupts in cheers as Cody joins MJF at the table.

Logan Paul: Now, last week, MJF, you kinda dissed me. I mean, ignoring the host of the Number One Podcast in the World? What’s up with that?

MJF smirks, dismissing Logan’s complaint.

MJF: Logan, I don’t have time for D-list celebrities. I’m a generational talent. I deal with people of importance, not influencers.

Logan raises an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed.

Logan Paul: Well, that’s just hurtful, man. But I’m willing to put that behind us for now. We’re here for a contract signing!

Logan hands over the contract to MJF, who signs it with a flourish.

Logan Paul: Swift and efficient. Now, Cody, your turn.

Cody signs the contract, exchanging a tense stare with MJF. The atmosphere in the ring grows increasingly tense.

Logan Paul: Contracts are signed, but let’s keep it civil. No need for any—

Before Logan can finish his sentence, Cody and MJF stand face to face, engaging in an intense staredown.

Logan Paul: Alright, alright. Let’s settle down.

MJF suddenly grabs the AEW Television Title, looking poised to strike Cody. Logan, sensing trouble, tries to intervene.

Logan Paul: Come on, guys. We don’t need this right now.

MJF, with a devious grin, swings the championship at Cody, aiming for a sneak attack. However, Cody ducks, and the title inadvertently collides with Logan’s head, knocking him out cold!

With Logan unconscious, Cody seizes the moment, charing after MJF.

Cody slams MJF through the table, leaving him sprawled on the mat. The crowd erupts as Cody stands tall, and the segment concludes with Cody Rhodes, the TV Championship in hand, looking down at his fallen adversary as the crowd roars in approval.

Match #4 | Beat the Clock Championship Challenge
Chris Jericho (0-0) vs Yokozuna (0-0)

During the introductions, Anderson reminds us that if this match goes over nine minutes and forty seconds, Ricky Starks and Kevin Owens will have secured the two spots for next week’s number one contenders match, and if it goes under eight minutes, it’ll be the winner and Kevin Owens. Either way, Owens has secured his spot next week. Kelly says that Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle have not made many friends in AEW, reminding the audience of the ongoing rivalry between the Inner Circle and AJ Styles, Omega, Danielson, and Hangman, as well as the beef Jericho has with Roman Reigns.

The bell rings, signaling the start of the match. Jericho and Yokozuna circle each other cautiously, aware of the immense challenge ahead. Jericho goes for a quick strike, attempting to use his speed against the larger opponent. However, Yokozuna effortlessly shrugs him off, showcasing his sheer power.

Kevin Kelly: A few weeks ago, Roman Reigns gave Umaga and Yokozuna a pep talk, and it seems to have paid off. Yokozuna looks more determined than ever, and he could end tonight with a number one contender’s match if he plays his cards right.

Arn Anderson: Jericho needs to use his agility and intelligence to outsmart Yokozuna here.

The match goes back and forth, with Jericho trying to wear down Yokozuna with a series of kicks and quick strikes. Yokozuna responds with powerful slams and strikes that showcase his dominance. The crowd is on the edge of their seats as the time starts ticking away.

Kevin Kelly: It’s clear that Jericho is trying to outmaneuver Yokozuna, but can he sustain this strategy for the entire match?

As the match reaches its final moments, both competitors give it their all. Jericho attempts a Lionsault, but Yokozuna catches him mid-air and delivers a devastating Samoan Drop. The referee checks the time, and with seconds to spare, declares the match a time limit draw. The bell rings, signaling the end of the contest.

Arn Anderson: Neither man able to secure the victory within the time limit, so referee Michael McMahon is calling it off!

Winner: Time Limit Draw
Match Time: 9:40

Suddenly, Roman Reigns’ music hits and the Bloodline surrounds Jericho and begins their assault! the Inner Circle’s music blares through the arena. The Inner Circle members rush out to the ring to save their leader. Chaos ensues as a brawl breaks out between the two factions.

Kevin Kelly: It’s an all-out war! The Inner Circle coming to the aid of Chris Jericho!

The two factions continue to brawl until finally it looks as if Jericho is able to lead their escape. Jericho rushes up the ramp with Guevara, Hagar, and Proud & Powerful only to find Danielson, Omega, and Hangman waiting at the top of the ramp!
