The following is what transpired during the Seventh and Final Season of PWI during the autumn period:
THE 28TH BLOODBATH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL – 10/5/23
The show kicked off with a decent opening, followed by a great opener between Paige and Nikki Cross. Cross achieved a victory with the help of a distraction by Alexa Bliss!
Jade Cargill is looking distraught about last night’s loss when the Immunity Champion Shawn Spears walks into the locker room. He advises her to keep her ego in check so as to not embarrass herself and the Pinnacle. She is deeply offended that he would lecture her about victories when he has been absent for so long, but he leaves after making it clear that she has let her pride get the best of her!
Blaster is minding his own business when he is abruptly interrupted by Crock Heffner’s new agent, Don Sparking. Blaster wants to know what Don wants, and Don reminds him that he is a famous agent of many past superstars; Sunfire, Catherine (although Blaster reminds Don that Catherine was not a competitor), and now Crock…Heffner! Blaster mocks the new name, calling him simply “The Crock”, and Don goes into a diatribe about how “Crock Heffner” ended “The Crock” off of a “mountainside” and sending Crock “into a valley”. Blaster had had enough of this stupidity and was prepared to leave, but Don demanded to talk about opportunities, including “title shots”. Blaster rejected the plea, leaving Don behind!
After a hard fought contest, the 1st ranked Riott Squad defeated the Tag Team Champions, The Agency, to become the new champions!!
Lawrence Mason was standing by with the IIconics, whom wanted everyone to know that they were back and ready to take the tag gold! When Lawrence brought up their humiliating failure of a run in AEW (having been squashed in a handicap match by Chyna), Peyton and Billie got upset, insisting that that was the past and that they “ARE THE FUTURE!” Impassioned, Billie and Peyton then warned that the Squad wouldn’t have the gold for long before they stormed off!
The Men’s Tag Team Champions are walking and talking about the competitive women’s tag division when they remind themselves of the competitive field with the men’s tag division; with special attention to the next match. They agree that while they know how to handle the Undisputed Era, they are definitely keeping an eye on the new up and comers, Beer Money Inc.! They then set off to watch that match with the rest of us!
In the tag match in question, Beer Money Inc. defeated the Undisputed Era after a hard fought battle wherein Roderick Strong was isolated from Adam Cole for a large portion of the bout. After the match, Cole helped Strong up only to hit him with a superkick! He finished him with a Last Shot, signifying that the U.E. was over!
Ted Dibiase was waiting in the parking lot when Petey Williams arrived. Ted asked if “it’s a deal”, to which Petey shook his hand and the two entered the building!
Catherine was doing some work in her suite when “Crock Hefner” entered and bothered her about a title shot, since he defeated a former WWE talent and PWI “Hall of Famer”. Catherine mocked this, and said that Crock was “too old”. Crock retorted that Granddaddy Duxen is literally wrestling! Catherine demanded that Crock leave, and he closed her computer…only to reopen it when she commanded him to before leaving.
In the next match, Granddaddy Duxen gave an emotional performance and qualified for the Premier Athlete Tournament Roulette by defeating Mark Henry!
AJ Lee was excited to find Thunderosa and congratulate her on her win yesterday. Thunderosa was appreciative, but she insisted that she had places to be so as to rest. AJ was curious as to whether she said anything wrong and wanted to suggest something. Thunderosa said she was happy for Lee, but wanted to be left alone. Lee felt disheartened and then quickly decided to go to the gym.
Aiden English was struggling to get people to get his autograph. He started ranting about people not appreciating him when Dexter Lumis quietly walked up and snatched his autograph book. English demanded to have it back, but was put through his table for his troubles as Lumis left with the book!!
In the Women’s Title match, the Immunity Champion and Premier Athlete Liv Morgan changed the stipulations multiple times, setting the stage for her to take the gold from Becky Lynch!!

The Undisputed Champion, Dragonfly, Krusader, and Mystico all waited for Dibiase. Dragonfly insisted that he didn’t need anyone, and Krusader promptly pushed back against the egomaniac, pointing out that Mystico is the future. Dragonfly scoffed and Mystico tried to calm everyone down (despite Dragonfly also talking down to him). Then, Dibiase arrived, laughed at the disarray, and then made his pitch: Krusader was the legend with something to teach, Mystico was to be the pupil for the future, and Dragonfly would be an equal partner with Dibiase. Krusader had already accepted the deal, and that last detail about partnership won Dragonfly over, but as Dragonfly got ready for his match, Mystico brushed past Dibiase, refusing the offer! Krusader offered to go get Mystico, but Dibiase expressed that Mystico had made his choice, and that he will have to live with it!!
Then, in the amazing Main Event, Dragonfly pulled off the incredible victory in successfully defending his gold against Metalhead!!
As the show came to a close, Dragonfly sat on the stage, victorious, as Metalhead looked on, with both of them drained of energy!

After the opening, the opening bout saw Tommaso Ciampa retain his Ascendant Title against Krazy Kid!
Terminator and Phobe were walking when Terminator suddenly stopped and began ranting about Krusader leaving them behind to join Dibiase despite the fact that they were as iconic as he. Terminator even interrogated Phobe as to why he didn’t challenge Ciampa. Phobe said he didn’t want the Ascendant Title, but Terminator reminded him that the title could put him in the tournament to be the Premier Champion. Terminator chastised Phobe on not taking action and then left him to his own thoughts!
Mr. Kennedy addressed the crowd, saying that management has been taking him for granted, and that he was set to become the future world champion! Then, he lost to Dominik Dijakovic!

Jade Cargill was bothered by Kaitlyn greeting her. Kaitlyn shot back that Jade was definitely not too high and mighty for everyone else since AJ beat her. Jade tried to choke Kaitlyn out for talking smack, but Kaitlyn didn’t back down. Jade told her to prove her worth in the ring, and Kaitlyn welcomed the challenge, pointing out that “if AJ can do it, anyone can”! She then left Jade seething!
Metalhead earned a disqualification for brutally assaulting Heavymetal, refusing to relent, and then taking out the official! More officials arrived after the assault completed, leaving a crazed and enraged Metalhead standing tall!
Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss walked through the back, Alexa began feeding off the negative energy left behind by other who had passed through earlier. After the match, Charlotte looked on with anger as Liv celebrated!
Nikki Cross stalked Jade Cargill and surprised her with pleas to “play” while talking in the third person. Jade mocked Nikki, said she wasn’t playing, and when Nikki insisted, Jade got irritated and told the creepy Nikki to leave her be! Nikki stayed behind cackling as if she was possessed!
Pac was working out when Matt Cardona came up and demanded to know why Pac received a title opportunity despite only having been EWA NXT champion. Pac said that he earned his spot and Cardona called himself the “highest rated world champion of all time”, using that as an excuse for why he should have been given that spot instead. Pac and him continued to butt heads until agreeing that they should face off soon.
With Ted Dibiase ringside after giving a special introduction for Beer Money Inc., the team of Roode and Storm shockingly defeated The Attraction to become the new tag team champions following a clever distraction by Ted to enable Roode to sneak a Glorious DDT onto a chair! Dibiase gifted the gold to the new champions and applauded their victory as the ref tended to the former champions!
Dexter Lumis was attempting to leave when Aiden English interrupted him with table in tow. After setting up his table – as required by contract – Aiden demanded to know where his book was, but Dexter inexplicably grabbed Aiden’s hand, confusing the disgruntled author. Lumis slammed English’s arm through the table, leaving him to sob as Lumis calmly left!

Wade Barrett was talking with Miro – who he insisted on calling “Rusev” – about them uniting to create “Bad News Day” and taking the tag division by storm. Miro stated that he didn’t want this. Barrett said that neither did he, but that they “needed” this to retake the spotlight. They were interrupted by the Young Bucks, who said that they are the greatest tag team in the world despite never getting TV time, but that they would happily test the mettle of this fledgling team. Thunderosa demanded that Becky reason with AJ as she left the scene. Becky told AJ that she was “on her side” – meaning that she was on the side of every ambitious woman -, but AJ grew starstruck at the idea of her supposed idol being on her “side”. Becky left as AJ continued to spiral into her latest obsession, obviously not sincerely hearing a word of Becky’s advice.
Hurricane Helms was poorly disguised in the corner of the hallway as Seth Rollins came walking by. Helms revealed himself, asking if the “citizen” needed saving from a “villain”. However, he stopped himself, pointing out that Seth was – in fact – a villain! Seth was annoyed, rejecting that idea. Helms noted what Seth did to Orton only to lose to Dragonfly, saying “WHAT’S UP WITH THAT?!”. Seth had none of it, attacking Helms, and taking him out with a Stomp!
Much to the chagrin of Ted Dibiase, Mystico defeated Krusader in an incredible match, causing Ted to leave in disgust!
Adam Cole was getting his stretches in when Matt Taven walked up to offer advice, saying that they were alike. Adam Cole laughed this off, saying he needed no advice and that he was far superior to Taven. Taven was taken aback by the arrogance of Cole, but obliged Cole’s demand for him to leave. Then again, Taven left with a hinted caveat that this advice being ignored would be something to regret.

Catherine and Blaster then resumed their conversation as we cut back to the ring!
Natalya Neidhart brutally defeated Kris Statlander via submission!
Becky arrived at the arena when she heard a voice coming from behind the dumpster. When she investigated, AJ Lee popped up behind her to scare her playfully. Becky told Lee to not do that, Lee explained that she learned that voice-throwing trick when she was younger and that she was happy to have Becky “with” her. She went on to talk about how they are close now when Becky told her that she is misinterpreting what she said last week. Lee tried to insist, but Becky explained that she cares about the future of the industry as represented by Lee and how Lee needs to protect her meteoric rise! Krusader was walking with Dibiase, talking about how he “had” Mystico last week in that match, but Dibiase told him “no more excuses”. Dibiase recognized that Mystico got the best of the older Krusader and that perhaps Mystico should be allowed to soon challenge Dragonfly for the gold so that the Undisputed Champion could put him in his place. The IIconics eeked out another title retention, this time over The Agency, when Mockingbird and Carter forgot that this was a PPV and that they had to eliminate both champions! (Note = the ending may be disputed, as some may say that the illegal member of The Agency was pinned in the end)
Events Commissioner Shane McMahon revealed a number of things to Lawrence Mason: The Ascendant and Immunity Champions will all cease to be champions as of January 1st as they all advance to a fatal four way finale for their respective Premier Tournaments. That’s when Slammu emerged. He and Nash acknowledged each other and he said he was happy to be on board in defense of the industry!
Catherine was then seen at her Suite and using her computer while both being happy to have Slammu on board and openly wondering where Blaster was. She was then suddenly attacked by Mickey! Crock came wearing Matt Hardy’s jacket and with Don Sparking in tow! Crock revealed that he is a Don Sparking guy, a voice for the voiceful, and the slight-edge superstar! He then promised to execute his “Stay Awake” move on the next guy who came to the ring…Mark Henry!
Henry was not amused. He launched Don into the stratosphere and attacked Crock – or Crock M.P. – mercilessly until LA Knight came down! Knight distracted Henry long enough for Crock to hit the Stay Awake and open the door for Knight to enter the ring and start the match! Despite Henry bouncing back a little, Knight managed to retain his Immunity Title!!
Matt Cardona stopped the Undisputed Champion Dragonfly from continuing his walk, by calling him the “absent champion”. Dragonfly laughed to himself about the insult and then mocked Cardona for not being on his level irrespective of Cardona’s bragging about being the champion of HLW when HLW was beating PWI in the ratings. Dragonfly called Cardona a skidmark on the underwear of wrestling and warned that he was going to wipe Cardona out if they ever met in the ring! Cardona froze as Dragonfly belittled him, turning only when the champion disappeared!

Dash held his own, but the tables turned when James Storm entered the match! Storm and Archer, though, couldn’t snuff out the fighting spirit of Dash for long, especially as Scott Dawson entered! FTR battled with all of their might and even held the advantage a little when Robert Roode came into the picture! However, the match got vicious with Archer and Beer Money Inc. seemingly getting the best of FTR, even doing a Pillmanizer Suplex on Dawson! When the match seemed lost for the Pinnacle, Shawn Spears came down, kicked off the War Games, and helped ensure that the Pinnacle won the match and the gold with Dawson scoring the pin!!
Watching the outcome, Mr. & Mr. were agreed that their first act as a team should be to become champions together!
Randy Orton scared the hell out of Executioner. He warned that he could have struck out of nowhere if he wanted. With Executioner pleading, Orton demanded a meeting with Mickey, to which Executioner said he would do everything he could to arrange. Orton warned – as Executioner fled – that if no meeting comes, he won’t be so merciful in the future!
In an awesome bout, Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins!!
Ted Dibiase waited for the Undisputed Champion, Dragonfly. Dragonfly was not happy to see him, though. Dragonfly berated Ted for allowing HBK to win against Rhyno and for overseeing the Pinnacle’s victory tonight! He then said that they will still have a serious conversation soon, but that he is leaving Ted in the back as he set out what he “does best…win!”
HBK told Lana that he took time to come back to PWI because he wanted to get in the best shape of his life and he promised to take the gold from Dragonfly!
After an impressive bout wherein Dragonfly scored the first fall, HBK executed a super belly-to-back suplex pinfall in a desperate attempt to get the second fall; which he did! However, Dragonfly was also revealed to have been simultaneously pinning HBK, thusly handing him the victory!!!
HBK nodded in respect as he left the ring whilst Dragonfly celebrated, but the celebration was short as Randy Orton hit an RKO from out of nowhere on the champion!!!
Then, as the show and the quarter came to a close, Orton framed his waist, held the title high, and trash talked Dragonfly!!
