The following is what transpired at the April 28th, 2023 Live Show:
Los Guerreros defeated the Undisputed Era when Adam Cole was distracted by the sight of Bobby Lashley watching from the crowd while eating popcorn. Lashley laughed as Chavo Guerrero nailed the Gory Bomb on Cole and secured the pinfall victory! 12 minutes 8 seconds.
The determine who challenges for the Women’s Championship on the next Wednesday Night War, Angelina Love defeated Gail Kim in a hard fought battle via pinfall after the Lights Out Superkick! Following the match, Liv Morgan tried to come out and console Kim, but she was rejected as Kim angrily walked away. 10 minutes 18 seconds.
WALTER decimated Petey Williams in their encounter. Williams entered the match with a great deal of confidence and even gained control for a brief moment of time, but WALTER proved unstoppable as he chopped Petey’s chest to bits and forced him to submit to a Camel Clutch! Following the bout, WALTER started abusing Petey some more to teach him a lesson, but Jeff Hardy rushed in to make the save, forcing WALTER to exit the ring and back out through the stage! 7 minutes.
Tay Conti and Melina wrestled to a draw when the two of them knocked each other out after a hellacious back and forth scrap! 15 minutes 11 seconds.
Baron Corbin came down as Conti and Melina were being helped out of the ring. Corbin whined about his lack of opportunities so far in PWI and exclaimed that maybe he will try for WWE, “since Aiden English seems to be getting these unearned opportunities”. Before he could continue his rant, though, the crowd erupted upon hearing the glass shatter and seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin run to the ring, flip Corbin off, and then stun him!
RVD and Santos Escobar had a great brawl, but Escobar’s hopes of beating the former world champion were dashed when Swerve intervened, capitalizing on a distracted official, hitting Santos with a surprise House Call to allow RVD to hit a Five Star Frog Splash for the pinfall victory!! 8 minutes 50 seconds.
In the Main Event, the Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defended her title against the Women’s Ascendant Champion Emma in a great si saw match. Becky eeked out a win via submission with the Dis-Arm-Her, but as she was celebrating, an irate Emma was set to clobber Becky with the Ascendant Title until Bianca Belair ran to the ring and hit Emma with a clothesline and then the K.O.D.! Becky nodded in approval as the night came to an end! 21 minutes 37 seconds.
